But it's in a City that's in  county that's in California...........

Your going to need a permit at a minimum................

With the size your talking about I am guessing structural calcs, engineered drawings, permits and an ecological study to make sure your not disturbing some rare and exotic three toed varmint from its original mating habitat

Nah.. I live in Laguna Hills… unincorporated area.. NONE of that sh__ will matter… trust me … 20 years I’ve owned here….

… just need a MFR .. or distributor..

I bought and installed a 16' x 23' from Versatube.

its a total DIY thing.. they have pre engineered kits, or you can design your own.. they ship it in pieces to your door...

Make sure the homeless don’t discover y0re unincorporated!

I would think you could find stuff like this @ Home Depot or Lowes or something.  I guess there are specialty companies out there that sell them like @1slomofo said.

My inlaws bought one years ago, never put it up.

I can get details if you are interested.

I know it is big enough it needs footers poured or attached to a concrete slab.

So nothing like you find at Home Depot.

It is located in Casa Grande.

That no permit shed stuff has a size limit usually.  You may not get caught right away, but at some point you probably will with a 12' x 30'.  Even Maricopa County in unincorporated areas has a size limit and then permits are required.

That perfect, that means only the County and the State will fine you and not the association, one less lawsuit,

One Way,

First you will need plans from the supplier, and at the same time have 3rd party do a soils report, start with the concrete company draw up plans for the slab, then also will need to have the 3rd party check the lot line and offsets, then you can send everything to plan check to start,

If you are on a septic you will need to pull the septic plans also for the permit,

Second way

I did a 400 sqft in my backyard, but it was on 3/4 acre and no one could see it from the street,  did a carport already had a slab with no footing for a sport cort, then next weekend i enclosed it to make a storage facility,  No permits,

But after about 2 years my neighbor went to build one with a permit, and when it was denied, he asked the county why they allowed mine, and that is how i got my notice from the county, but at that time i was in the middle of selling it to build a 2600 sq shop permitted,

That is some of the ways people get caught, neighbors try to build the same thing with permits,  or new construction near by and a lot of county eyes driving by,

Happened to me in LA.

Here in Knox, we do what we want on our property.  Building a 60x40 game/entertainment man cave right now.

We did a Mueller Buildings. Nice complete kits, you size it.

Many times non-permitted structures aren’t an issue until the property changes hands. Generally anything over 120 square feet needs a permit.

I built a Versatube shelter earlier this year. Build it however you want online and they ship it to your house. Took me and a friend two weekends to set it up.

In Kern Co / Bakersfield the metal structures like @MeganDad posted are non-permited as long as they are not "permanently attached", which like all dumb .gov stuff you have to secure them or they blow away in the wind, ha ha..... stupid .govs

but yeah everyone pours pads, builds the metal structures and bolts them down....
