would this be with the valve covers that are missing the oil filler cap and grommets?.........................

or it didnt have valve covers on it at all?

 
leaky rubber valve cover gasket.  I was trying to get cute and try something other than the cork/rubber gaskets used since the SBC was invented.  it bit me in the a.s.s.
