If the Insurance declares it a total loss and you keep it, they will subtract the salvage value from the settlement. You will be required to get a smog, brake and lamp inspection in order to register it again. They will exchange the current title for a Salvage title. And that route my Insurance would mark it "Salvaged", then pay me a certain amount of $$ right? A different amount then it being a Total Loss and they keep the car.
If I salvaged it, I would have to get it fixed, pass inspection and then apply for a "rebuilt title" correct?
3 people have already offered to buy it as-is just driving by my house
Used Car market is :ng: right now.
You gunna try and fix it?Eff AAA, just bought new tires 6 months ago, America's Tire replaced both for free per the warranty they offer.
Guy said where is the 2nd tire, I said here is what's left of the wheel...that tire is somewhere on the 210 fwy. His face and 2 other guys...oh chit!
No Repair shop, but I spoke to the owner about doing only certain items that really need it. New front and Rear bumper were on the list...um no thanks..wet sand and hit with touchup paint. Anything cosmetic we will do ourselves :crusty: It's the suspension, brakes etc I'll let the shop handle, too busy and want car back ASAP.You gunna try and fix it?
