NA LS gear ratios

General consensus is 500-750  RPM  drop is ideal 2nd-4th gear

at least for maximum performance  in a high perf vehicle

Some people stretch that to 1000 RPM, but it won't be fun to dune

Many people like to use  MPH drop vs RPM , but MPH is not usually too important in the dunes

This is good tool to use to test ratios

Dang I feel keeping it in that range would be real tough to find ratios. Here’s my dyno sheet.

Yeah its tough, there are less ratios available now than previously, we see that with R&P final drive ratios  there are only 2  ratios available now for  the Sequential for instance, so you have to compromise and look at the RPM you feel comfortable duning in  - you can't stay in one gear - you will wear it out - so  as said before 2nd 3rd is usually where you try and space the gears as close as you can, and top speed while sand drag people want that high 5th to get over 140MPH most people never get over 95-100MPH
