My son loading a quad for the first time..

Tell him not to feel bad I still did the same in my 30s. All my friends push their quads up the ramps, I refused help and went for it, because I'm a badass! LOL well, one ramp just fell to the ground just as the rear wheel was clearing it. I slammed the brakes! My wheel was half on half off the tailgate. I was revving and scared for my life at the pull of the clutch LOL 😆

I cleared it. My truck is on 35s 6" lift. Yikes! Never will I ever attempt that again.
 
FWIW, we always used the ratchet straps that we tie the quad down with to hold the ramps to the bumper while loading & unloading.

Its funny as hell, because he was not hurt. a night or two in the dog house is good for a marriage. LMAO
 
Being that we are usually loading a 450 with paddles on it, we just push it up the ramps. We back the truck up to the curb so it's not a huge angle.
 
I'm pretty close to the beach, and do not overlook moisture on yore ramps
when loading in the morning. Those quads will have a life of their own with wet tires.
Ask me how I know.
 
Let him have a beer or two in Mexico. Trust will be regained and the story about the quad will be forgotten.

I told him.. tecates and running the beach! lol. He said he’s down but somehow I doubt it..

Shit when I was his age they used to give you Coronas for free in Baja if you were wearing a corona shirt or hat etc..

I loved drinkin beer.. still do! lol. I think my kids have all had one sip and said it tastes horrible.

Same with my kids. Offer them beers or some of those foo foo drinks my wife keeps on hand, “no thanks”.
