Hey gents, felt like adding some reading material for anyone looking to occupy some time and maybe provide so info for people remodeling rigs as well.

Sorry its just a link to another site. Man it would take forever to re type everything along with the picture! Feel free to continue conversations on here and ill answer what i can.

This was my third remodel of a trailer for the family, its a 2007 sandpiper sport 40’ hauler we remodeled and since sold.
Took a short break and soon we are moving into a new custom dune sport 44’ i have had in the works for about 5 years for our river and desert adventures.

I am always impressed with guys that have your skills. That was a nice remodel. Any interest to do some flooring like that into my bus ? Tear out the carpet and tile and lay down the laminate.

do you think this has done anything for you? what was the reason?
I ask because i have a buddy who runs a mission tortilla route and his trailer has 5200lb axles and he's constantly breaking that mount. just broke one again this week, and we are trying to figure out why. the trailer repair shops don't seem to want to help, just fix it and get it out the door. his is cracking at the frame weld at the top. he doesn't carry over the load the trailer will haul, but man this thing eats those mounts lol.

Well honestly i couldnt tell much of a handling type of thing and didnt notice the need for the cross bracing on this trailer but i had an issue on a passed trailer and reading of all the mounts bending or breaking on triples especially loaded and tight turning.
They i beams at least has factory welded angles above the hangers but no v braces welded inside the hangers either. This for sure braced everything and probably distributed the load forces while turning.

I am sure it kept things more solid and was just looking to keep it and make it as solid as i could down the road so this was preventative and pretty cheap to make.
I would have you buddy do something like this and try it! Cant make it any worse!

Just a solid tube side to side on those hangers helps alot to strengthen those hangers and keep them from flexing. ANYTHING you can do to those hangers helps to strengthen and remove any flex in the suspension. Replacing the plastic leaf spring eye bushings with bronze bushings. Upgrading to wet bolts plus using a thicker heavy duty shackle is an easy up grade that helps alot too.
