Mobile RV Mechanic

Generator is the last thing I need to sort out on my new (old) toyhauler.  Onan 4000.  Carb spits fuel.  Tried a new Amazon carb.  Same issue.  Had it running as long as 5 min.  Instant I ran the Microwave, shut off. 

It's got a ton of hours on it.  Like 1100 I think.

You need to be able to work on that thing drunk, injured, and blind.. get to know it well, don't let anybody else work on it because once you're out there it'll certainly act up..

Check your compression and fuel pump pressure, It's also not unheard of to get a bad carb.. after all they are Chinese POS's

if the carb is spitting fuel, I'm gonna go with Valve adjustment for $1000 Alex. 

 
Ended up being the carb. Had Vito come out because I ran out of time getting stuff done. Thanks for all the help from everyone.

I'll be buying a carb from amazon in the mean time in case I run into this again.

The Amazon carbs are hit and miss for me. I have 2 spare carbs I keep in the trailer. One I have used for a few hours before it started acting up. I ended up cleaning my stock one again and it started working. So I now have a cleaned newish spare and another new Amazon spare. One of the carbs I got before from Amazon didn’t work. Good luck
