Darn near 12 hours in the smoker. Rained most of the time. 20 lb bird that came out amazing. Dinner was stalled but worth the wait.

Good Morning and Merry X Mas GD.com ! In the spirit of Lee Ving, I think I'll have another Christmas beer.

Cuban side of the family goes traditional on the Eve, so last night was roast pork, black beans and rice and boiled yucca in oil and garlic, very nice bottles of red on table, with an amazing cheesecake for desert, followed by a few nips of very good Single Malt.

A few years back as the family got smaller, we switched it up from Prime Rib to steakhouse dinner for X Mas, so that's what we'll be doing later this eve.

We did a Build Your Own Tostada Bar for Christmas Eve dinner with the kids and grandkids. Always looking for something different.
