Looking at new toy haulers- Momentum or Vortex (Genesis)

Our Raptor (made by Keystone) has been generally good.  Like all trailers, there were small issues and upgrades I did, but it has been solid overall.

I agree with everything said above.  I'm going to end up having a Renegade built.

There is nothing I detest more than buying something "new" that immediately requires repairs.  I'd rather pay more for something that I know is solid and reliable from the get-go.  This is the reason I know longer own RR, MB, BMW, Jaguar, etc.  As I've "grown" older, I realize that peace (Cheff-style) of mind trumps a "deal".

My 2019 Genesis has been relatively trouble free and the issues that I did have with it were fixed pretty quickly (rear ramp door not sealing completely at the top, solar system not having the correct breaker to run coffee maker, wheel bearings needed maintenance before 1000 miles ) Love the 34 GSXL layout, full shower, giant slide and the room it gives, I just could never be happy with one of those claustrophobic garage models. All that being said the forest river unit i would have bought in place of this had much more sturdy wood finishing, and it was a 4 season rig.

To be fair, even the higher-end stuff have new coach/trailer teething problems.  My '17 Dutch Star was brand new, and had things that needed fixed.  My '19 Mountain Aire I bought used, but had records that the first owner took it back to Indiana for fixes.  That's just how it is, and I'm okay with that as long as a) they actually can/do fix the problems b) the "foundation" itself is solid (which is def the case with Newmar).
