LIVE / High speed chase in LA

You mean he got away? Wtf? Where did he go? Never seen one that got away like that. Just disappeared under the bridge lol

Don't give em the fan fair! I turn the channel.

CHP doesn't really want to catch them...they only do as a last resort....worked out perfectly for them...call the other birds off, back the units off, give them an out...oh bummer he got away...back to the donut shop they go.  Don't know why we even  have them.... should just have sheriffs patrol the freeways..

I disagree, that azzhole put a whole bunch of lives in danger. 120+mph. Helos should have a harpoon so that right through the roof of the car, cruise out over the ocean, release.

Or, just give the helos a Hellfire missile and as soon as they are out of traffic WHOOSH, threat eliminated! No need for over an hour of 120mph chase through traffic.

If CHP really wanted to catch him, they would have engaged sooner...had more resources...kept the lapd airship on scene until he was caught...they order everyone off and take control....they have failed time and time again...they are horrible...LASO , Riverside, San Bernardino Sheriffs...they get the job done.. CHP pulled off after a car didn't listen to the chopper and got hit... with a KNOWN kidnapper....let him go into an apartment. CHP has shown time and time again...they are not in the actual police work business. They are AAA with a gun and need the gun taken away.

Crime has soared since the BLM (communist) movement. Would you want to 'engage' if you're in law enforcement?

I think silently many in the field are saying, OK, you want to defund us? See what world you live in when you have less patrol/enforcement.

Frankly, I don't blame them. Thankless job... blame the woke left.

I'm increasing security around my perimeter here in Laguna Hills where it's 'catch n' release.' I've filmed (and had detectives in my home to get the footage for a several crimes in the last few years) right outside my home... Then followed the cases.

One joker has been arrested 36 times over the last 3 years and only did a few months. He had a bunch of drug possessions, burglaries, resisting arrest, assault, stolen car (that one was a felony) and it's just a joke. Dude is out on his own RIGHT NOW,... no bail for a crime he committed July 2020 (latest) and pre-trial doesn't even begin until July 2021. When he broke into the mail boxes and all the cars on our block. It took me 3 days to compile the 4 hours of him pulling all the door handles and going through the mail right in front of my house (2018). They stacked up all his crimes and he did a couple of months early this year.

The other one is a 'freak house' unlicensed weirdo home. I filmed a PEDO whacking off in front of my house as my wife and daughter, neighbor and daughter (who all saw this) were on their way to school. He's in some mental facility right now.

I'm currently pursuing legal action to get rid of this place that was here before I moved in 18 years ago. Ran by a ex-doctor who had to give up his medical license because he lied that he was testing his patients for drugs (and wasn't) and had one (or more) died on him.

Anyhow, I've got my lawyer on him now. Doubt anything will come of it... probably just blowing cash.

Look out for your loved ones... seriously.

abc

PS. My house would sell for nearly $1M in today's market... My Ring and Next Door Neighbor app seem to 'chime' with increased crime over the last couple of years.

Whoah! What the heck are you talking about?  CHP is the state wide pursuit authority. Now there is a risk versus reward evaluation that must go on continuously during a pursuit. Like why is the vehicle being chased? Expired registration or it’s a stolen car out of a home invasion with a 2year old in the back seat. Back in the day before cell phone cameras everywhere and overly litigious defendants, pursuits were a lot more fun. But now a pursuit which used to net the bad guy some real state time isn’t even booked into county jail!  Why would the CHP or any officer risk their livelihood for that?

Why would the CHP or any officer risk their livelihood for that?
BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE PAID TO DO...KEEP IDIOTS FROM GOING 120MPH OFF THE ROAD.   I agree with you if they decide they are too risky, then THEY should shut down the chp and have the county sheriffs patrol the highways.  We are seeing the results of the "woke" policing on our communities....IT doesn't work.....Time to either get rid of Cops all together or get back to putting people in jail....just don't put on a dog and pony show and act like they care.

Why would the CHP or any officer risk their livelihood for that?
Their Motto is (and I am thinking stopping a chase like this falls into tis catagory ......) ....just saying.........

I watched the end of the video.  It would appear that the car came out in the fast lane while the light was focused on the slow lane.   It also looked like there was no center median so the guy could of easily made a U-turn under the bridge and drove off.

I always thought if I ever got in a high speed chase cover is the best way to get away.  So head to any parking garage and switch cars or here in the Valley just stop in the middle of the deck park tunnel and car jack another car or have a friend meet you in one of those spots so you can just get out of a blue car and get into a red car and drive away like nothing is wrong.  Which if the car coming out in the fast lane was the bad guy in this case is what he did in a sense.
