Let’s talk about E-Bikes

It's a bug that will bite you.  I have always had bikes, but once I rode an E-bike,  normal pedal bikes will never be the same. I got a Fantic Ebike years ago, and have since moved up to "Bulls" E- mountain bikes.  My family has 3 of them. Extremely well made and very capable bikes.  Each have about 150mm of travel and have the Brose emag motors (90lbs trq.) and big 750  batteries. We also have a fat tire HOL (house of lithium) bike for my youngest (he doesn't ride as much). I also have a Surron X and a Segway X-260 that me and my oldest son take on our local fire trails.  These are more electric motorcycles though.  It's a pretty sizable investment,  but it gets my family out of the house on all sorts of outdoor trails. It helps that we have riding trails right out our back door,  but I would still find new places to ride if that were not the case. You wont regret it. Just do your research and get what works for you.

That is quite the quiver.  How do the Surron and Segway compare to each other  ?

Build your own and have a bad ass bike like this. It will pull wheelies with a hit of the throttle.

If you have a vagina or mangina, or over 65yo, e-bikes are for you.

If you have a set of balls, pedal bikes are for you.

Pretty much the identical same bikes, except segway has an app on your phone to control the regen and power and the surron has an old school cut the green wire to unlock the bike.

I picked these up about a year ago. Basic cruiser style with a little suspension in front, hydraulic brakes etc. I paid about $1,800.00 each, no tax. I think for the money, they are about the best quality, best looking bikes I've seen for the money.

Nice collection.

Do not leave them plugged in when you are not home, saw my buddies garage go up in flames...............he had a camera inside his garage so we saw how it happened............he was lucky and was at home and save a lot.

Thanks for all the info, so many options.

I’m going up to mammoth in a few weeks, I’m thinking of renting a few and see what I like.

On an RV forum I’m on, same thing happened to guy in his Moho. Took the battery out of his e-bike and took into the Moho to charge it. Battery caught fire and he said each cell exploded like a grenade. He drained 3 fire extinguishers trying to put fire out.
