Update: hadnt heard anything in a few weeks due to holidays. Called hyundai corporate today and they said they are putting together a buyback offer they will tender to her thurs. we will see what this entails; im sure i will consider this just opening negotiations. Im not expecting to be happy with what ever their initial offer is.
I will say after sitting at the dealership for 6 months; she got her car back within 4 days of me filing a claim. They miraculously found a replacement transmission that had been unavailable for 2 months, installed it and road tested it that quick.
