Kyle Loftis of 1320videos passed away.

Dammit, that sucks. I watch that channel all the time.

I still haven't confirmed it with my brother but I think we used to Street Race with him in the late 90's.

Super cool guy. As Mega said we camped with him years ago in Glamis.

Dude literally invented Cleetus McFarland and brought drag racing to YouTube for me. Super shitty and too early.

So... it sounds as if he may have committed suicide. Not 100% sure but that seems to be the current story.

If so, it's extremely unfortunate in itself as there could have been a few reasons. With an accident like what he went through, he could have had internal damage that was causing a lot of pain and daily suffering. My buddy Alex was in a head on collision in Ocotillo back in 2014 and died shortly after, due to his injuries. He was in severe pain since the accident and actually kept a lot of what he was going through from his friends and family (he admitted this in a text to me). He succumbed to blood clots in his lungs, due to the trauma he went through.

Some are also saying Kyle may have had Cancer as he was losing weight months before any of this happened.

Kyle's accident was unfortunate but one thing I will hold tight to is the streets are no place for what they are/were doing... especially a high powered Supra with no Traction Control. My 3 year old knows how unpredictable those cars are, keep that shit on the damn track.

@ 5:58 Andre describes what happened to our buddy Nam in 2001...

It makes NO difference on how he passed away!

Kyle influenced hundreds of thousands of people to get out and enjoy the car culture. The man brought us videos from around the world showing us gearheads from all budgets. From cheapass cars hopped up to million dollar drag cars. Don't get lost in the how, remember him for what he did while he was here.

Damn, this blows!

RIP!

Miss those tuner days for sure.

Dang. I buy a few shirts a year from him for my kids.
