I pull the 40 amp fuse so the fuel pump won’t work when I park my truck with my enclosed attached.

Kind of a pita so Id like to install a simple kill switch.

Anyone have a simple way that is effective, easy to hide and simple to install?

i have heard of a power outlet used as a switch to kill the fuel pump, install a dummy plug that is internally wired as a jumper.

also heard of a magnetic switch hidden behind a plastic panel that is activated by a simple magnet that is disguised as a pen, or something normally kept in center console.

yeas ago i used a magnetic switch up high in my windshield to activate my electric door poppers on my 74' nova lowrider.  Kept a generic magnet on my keychain and just waved it by the windshield to open the door.

lots of creative ways to disguise a switch.

I use to pop the hood and pull the ign relay.......when I had stuff. :classic_sad:  I'd also back the enclosed up into the driveway so there was no way they'd be able to unhook it and get at it.

It wasn't that big of deal to me.

I’ve got an 05 f250, I just lock the doors. Nobody can break into those things… 🤣

We use magnetic switches for our industrial control cabinets (can detect smaller door openings than a microswitch)...  All of my field techs carry 20 or so spares in their trucks.  LOL

I have this on my truck. It replaces a fuse and will not start unless you hit the key fob.
Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!  How long have you had it?

Best would be the fuel pump since it would just sputter and die and the dirt bag would just think it's a pile, but if the module itself goes haywire, could be not so fun.  I assume they're not gonna sit there and diagnose a no starter condition though...

Couple months ago some douche bags tried to steal my truck at 3:00am on a Saturday.  I heard something ,got out of bed and scared then off just before they took my truck. 2008 Duramax. I got a Viper alarm installed that was only a few hundred bucks that has a kill switch built in. Last weekend,  same douche bags came back, broke in and truck wouldn't start. Viper for the win.

all my toys have gps installed and a regular battery switch when ever a battery switch is turned on it starts active tracking and sends me a txt message that power state has changed

Does this replace the factory fob or in addition too?
Just make sure you have the stock relay available.  We paid a dealer $1300 for this same "alarm" system.  We had issues where it would randomly cut power for about 20 minutes.  Got stuck on the carpool flyover from the north 55 to the 5.  Talk about a pucker tightening experience.

Towed back to dealer, he pulled the relay and I got the $1300 back...

i have a viper on my daughters car, with gps and love it, I can see where she's at any time, she can't hide!!!

remote start from anywhere i/we have cell service, tells me when she speeds, and alerts me when it goes off. pretty cool.

i have one on my dodge also, just not all the bells and whistle, it just sits in storage. never had any issues, this is probably our 5th viper set up

had a customer that never used their cigarette lighter (maybe that dates me) but we made it so the lighter must be pushed in all the way, if you pulled it half out car wouldnt run

i i have said before i remove my starter relay and move it to another spot on the main panel, takes 1 min.

That’s a good way but finding a fuel pump wire cut

splice it run to a hidden toggle switch is a simple effective way. And if a thief decides to check fuse box they may find missing fuse but a hidden switch well circuit is cut.

Can place a small toggle switch up under ash tray or up under dash somewhere.

my uncle use to use a 1/4 inch long toggle stashed In upper part of ash tray in old 4 runner and it saved it from being stolen came back to it door open ignition broken and battery dead. Best buck spent he said then.
