Wow! This brought back memories. I lived 150 miles east of Portland and drove to Tom Peterson's to buy a VCR back in the early '80's. Top loading 4 head w/wireless remote, top of the line at the time. It cost about the same as this one, in fact, might have been the same one.

A 300 mile roundtrip just to buy a VCR for about $3k in today's dollars!
