The numbers for young people on OnlyFans is staggering. Between the ages of 18-25 there are 1.2 Million women on OnlyFans. That means that roughly 1 in 10 women in that age range are creators on OnlyFans. When you break down the numbers, in 2023 there were 11.04 Million women in the USA between the ages of 18 to 24.
In 2023, OF generated a net revenue of 6.62 Billion dollars, and a pre tax profit of 658 Million dollars. The year before the site generated 5.5 Billion dollars, with a pre tax profit of 252 Million.
OF shares revenue with its creators in a 80/20 split, which OF keeps 20% of all transactions. The number of creators increased by 29.42% year-over-year (YoY), while the number of fans increased by 27.73%. OF is clearly showing consistent growth over social media, and its growth doesn't seem to be slowing down.
The creators on OF are not all making money though, the average creator makes around 150.00 to 180.00 US Dollars per month. There are women on there making millions per month, but most of them had an established following prior to migrating to the site. Blac Chyna was for a while making the most on OF, at the tune of 20 Million per month. She has since taken down her page, but that amount of revenue is staggering.
Bella Thorne, who is a mainstream actress joined and was the fastest to earn 1 Million dollars on the platform within 24 hours. This trend is rising to have creators on the page, and the payouts are worth it to some for the content they are creating. What is a concern to some is that this will make dating for young people harder, as your chance is 10% the female you ask out has an OF page. It also shows that with social media, normalcy in our society has moved the needle, that what was once taboo is now mainstream. Also, OF has done all of this without an Apple App, which shows the attraction to the site. It also shows that young men are lonely, and the need for connection is something they will pay for.
