Its Saturday Sept 30th 2023... What is everyone doing all weekend?

I've had less than happy experiences with Sea-Tac, but WOW.   2 hours to get through security.   What a sheet show....  at the gate now.  Be nice to sleep in my own bed.

 
Something dangerous. Been designing a new frame for sand car. Even went as far as getting prices for steel and components. YIKES. Scarry part still not deterred. 

 
Spent the day installing the new lift on my dually. Gotta get tires mounted and alignment done.

My wife and I do 3 day emergency kits in backpacks for all of our family. 6 kids 13 grand kids. Once a year we get together and dump out all old food and eat it and restock the backpacks for another year. The day was beautiful. Light rain. Lt80 riding for the grandkids, went exploring on the 2 rhinos. Looked at a 40 acre parcel for $230k near my home. Wow.  Then finished off with the jacuzzi, full moon and ice cream

Daughter had a cross country race yesterday.  50th out of 271 girls. 

Killing it for her 1st season.  Always top 20%. 1st on her team. 

Working on my TH water tank braces this morning.

Yeah. I'm super proud. 

She did 2 miles yesterday in 16:01. Hills, 4 water crossings and some mud.

She trains at about 8500ft . 2+ miles 4 days a week. 

2 races left. She'll get 1st on her team overall  (boys and girls) for the season as long as she finishes them decent.

She's a homeschool kid. Doesn't really know any kids. Our county allows her to do after school activities at what would be her home school. 

 
Girlfriends 5 year old granddaughter stayed the night Saturday. Saturday night I spent at least an hour holding her upside down by the feet so the dogs could lick her face and Sunday morning spent a few hours teaching her how to ride a bike.  She quickly has outgrown this bike and needs a bigger one, Told her I might know somebody who can help her out.

 
Drove to Vegas and watched my oldest (20) play against Vegas.

Was a good weekend for him, we are exhausted...getting old to be all over the map chasing these kids.

Passed thru Baker of course, sure miss the dunes.
