Interesting last few days...Graduated college (online degree) from Purdue and decided to make the trip to do the actual walk in person. Chicago was the best direct flight from San Diego and is only 2 hours from Purdue campus.  Graduated and toured the campus yesterday and spent today in Chicago. It's too bad the city gets such a bad rap in the media...it definitely exceeded my expectations. The shoreline parks are amazing...great time of year with the fall colors to visit...Field Museum has a full-size t-rex with 90% of its actual bones.

If you ever end up Iin Chicago, check out the field museum and the parks along the coastline.

We went about the same time awhile ago for my son’s graduation from the Navy.  We really like the city.

Congrats on the Degree. I heard Chicago is an awesome City to visit. It does get a bad rap. Every city has it's Bad areas. I visited the Notre Dame campus once. It's pretty close to Purdue. Peace
