It's Saturday May 3rd 2025.. What is everyone doing this weekend?

Vinegar, salt and a few drops of Dawn soap for the problematic weeds.

Those guys hoping to find Weed in the dumpsters... your neck of the woods grows some horrible product (no offense)... they are doing nothing but wasting their time in many ways. I got a job offer to run a facility down in Arkansas... told them to send me pics of the facility and finished product. End result was me laughing harder than I have in a LONG time and I have yet to return their calls.
the guys i work for had some very large grow facilities, I had never been in them, and I was really surprised how much they grew. I had no idea.
they sold out all the grows and just leased space for the grows. We had one group that owed us a TON of money, they basically moved out in the middle of the night and took everything not nailed down from the ceiling to the floor, including all the a/c units and all the breaker boxes, wires coming in from the power pole, the whole 9 yards.estimated they did about 600k in damages.
they just bought this property, its 3 large warehouse style buildings, all new and really nice. states cracking down big time, one guy leases 4 units and they all just had an inspection, and he failed for whatever reason, so they closed him. he's still paying, his lease is 10,900 a month, still paying in money orders lol.
I had one guy wanting to pay in cash each month, and I told him no damn way am I responsible for getting that to the bank lol. I could see me losing it or getting robbed and being on the hook for that, no way.

Sounds like you're getting some of the guys out there that we dealt with. That's a bummer. There are two kinds of Cannabis growers: Complete pieces of shit that I wouldn't trust with anything. Then, you have guys that are 100% solid and understand the repercussions of their actions and how small that industry is.

Back in 2015, I helped an Acquaintance set up an Illegal grow that was in a large greenhouse close to my house. One Veg/Cloning room and three Flowering rooms with a total of about 30 lights. Once everything was running, he let me know that he and his brother in law were working on making it a legal company and asked if I would like to join and run the Cultivation department. Fast forward to 2017, we had a facility in Desert Hot Springs open (first legal cannabis company in CA) and we now had Canndescent up and running, completely legal. Six Flowering rooms, two Mother rooms, two Veg rooms, large dry room, storage vault and Trimming facility.

I was tasked to fill the roster of employees and it was eye opening to see what kind of people came out of the woodwork. Everything from ex School Teachers to True Criminals applied and we got some guys from Florida that were true pieces of shit, tried to sabotage and steal anything and everything they could. It's a rough industry that most don't know about.

I left that same year and am back to Quality Control shizz for a large, well respected company. I don't miss the Circus that the Weed industry provides.

i have met a couple people that seem like good people, but we have had so many that have stiffed us on rent, I don't trust anyof them anymore. and its crazy how much we let them get in debt before we start booting them. yeah there's legal avenues to be followed, but man, we have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars, even though they sign personal guaranties and such.

2 cops from the HOT line, homeless outreach team called me this am. they told them to move on, but can't make them due to the fact we don't own the neighboring property, so that poor guys getting a fine from the city plus a clean up notice lol. we'll see if they move out or not

Unfortunately, some people are just shitty.

We transitioned out of the Vista greenhouse in 2017 and it was rented from a guy who's house was right next door. As soon as we cleared all of the plants and lights out, the Landlord went in and stole all of the Mini Split AC's, the grow tables, pulled ALL of the wiring (brand newish), and all of the nutrients we still had not used (thousands of dollars worth, some brand new from Suppliers that wanted us to use their line in the Legal setting) and anything else he could get his grubby hands on. He also stole a large amount of shelving I had stored there "just in case" we needed it, that was mine.

When confronted, he said there was no room for it all (which there was - the other half of the Greenhouse) and told us to fuck off. Probably 50k worth of stuff. And... this was someone that we thought was on our side.

we had 2 stores that suddenly went belly up, right next door to each other. went to court, locked them out about 2 weeks AFTER the court order. 2 HUGE men of color show up while Im with the locksmith changing locks, wanting in. the people were so lazy, they didn't even try to move anything out until 2 weeks after the court ordered eviction date. they didn't get anything. they already had the weed, but left behind all the showcases, tv's, couches, glass pipes, etc. As I'm cleaning out all the trash etc, I grab a couple trash bags they left at the door. I had a thought just double check them, trash, trash...........SCORE! about 5 gallons of weed lol. I couldn't throw it away, and my buddies neighbor may still be trying to smoke it all lol. I was told to empty it out, we leased both sides, clear it out. I got all the tv's, 2 large safes, all the glass and retail stuff, and hell getting rid of all of it lol. safe's are damn hard to move AND to sell. gave one away to a friend and sold one for damn near nothing. I got more out of the retail glass etc, and vapes, than everything else. it was a ton of work, but i made a little coin lol.
another one moved out about 4 months ago, after eviction, I got a tote full of edibles, haven't found anyone that uses them yet lol. but someone is gonna have fun I guess. If I didn't get drug tested at my regular job, I'd eat the damn things lol
