Fueled up the truck and filled the gas for the SXS. Pulled the RZR out and got it ready. Loaded the trailer and filled with water. All my chores are done for the desert now the wife just has to grocery shop! Can’t wait for Glamis next weekend! Next I helped my son carpet the new bunk boards for the boat trailer. Gonna help him install the swim steps tomorrow. Finally took a service call right before dinner as I’m on call this week. Emergency call for an MRI down at a Scripps. I arrive to find my chiller running perfectly and the issue is with the MRI equipment. Not my equipment to work on so I went back home! Start over again tomorrow with more boat things for my son.
Weekend in Minnesota...HS Nationals did well, made Quarterfinals and now the season is over. Next year will be something special as this team is 70/30 spilt of 11th and 10th grade boys....watch out 2023-2024.
Weekend in the dunes. Great trip and weather was what we have been looking for all season.
And then there was this.
Heads up to those with new rzr's. Install cam lock safety belts for your protection. We stopped for a break and while visiting watched as a rzr was driving around playing. Not with our group. Then next we knew it was rolled down a bank stopping on it's side almost over to the roof and upside down. We watch a little and there was no movement, no one was getting out. Thought something wrong and went to help. Three teenage girls were trapped in the car and couldn't get out due to the belts. With their weight hanging on the factory belts it takes a lot to get the release to open. We couldn't even release them until we were able to get in and lift their bodies up to lighten the pressure. The girls couldn't release them. Thankfully help was close, and no car fluids were leaking.
I’ll post some more pics in the Honda Talon thread. Here’s one in front of the “Checkered Building” on our way back from the Holtville Airport to Gecko Road.
