I discovered a task less enjoyable than cleaning and repacking CVs. I chased all the threads (left and right handed) on all my rear suspension links and installed new heims. What a pain in the ass! But...it's done.
Went over the engine and put a wrench on everything. Installed and clamped all the hoses to ensure no rubbing or chaffing. Chased all the threads that got powder coated. Got some panels and beadlock rings prepped and ready to go to powder coating.
I did end up buying a thread chaser kit. I had always used taps and dies for this but I will say, a bonafide thread chaser is pretty awesome. They worked great. I wish I had bought these sooner. At 55, I'll probably never use them again...
