Serviced my garage door... like total LOF. Replaced all the rollers, cleaned seals, lubed hinges & spring...the whole 9 yards. It's so quiet now I can't hear it from inside. Barely even hear the motor if in the garage. Long overdue, like 30-35 yrs overdue

Grandson came over to work on the 65 Ranchero. We are having trouble with the newly built C 4 transmission shifting into high gear. The trans shop thought the governor may be stuck and offered advice on a couple of things to try to fix it. We tried their suggestions and had no success. So we disconnected the driveline, unbolted the tail housing and disassembled the governor. On close inspection we found a very small piece of aluminum stuck in the governor where the weight slides back and forth under spring tension. The piece was slightly larger in diameter than a hair and made it difficult to get the weight out. I’m not sure where it came from but looked aluminum and maybe casting flash. We got it all put back together and went for a test ride. Works great now! Now to get the hood on and some mufflers hooked to the headers and his is good to go.

We did make it to the Yuma Air Show today, kind of. With almost 100* temps we made a slight change of plans and found a restaurant inside the Yuma Airport with air conditioning and alcohol.
