Flying home today from a two week Alaska cruise. Awesome up here, not a drop of rain and temps 60-78.

99% done with putting the car back together. Put the CV's, axles, boots together. Bled the clutch yesterday. New fuel lines. Better to be safe. One was leaking when I put it back together. Now just need to put the hood, windshield, rear fairing, etc back on. Put it in the trailer and take it for a hot lap around the airport. Next project is to repair or redo the muffler area. After 16 years still doing little projects. 😂 Looked up the total miles on the car etc.

Brisket was a fail! Ran into a stall and the temp went from 187 to 183 in 30 mins so I bumped up the temp from 205 to 250. Looked outside and bad news. Looks like the Masterbuilt had a grease fire inside. Lid was almost cooked shut. Probe was reading 500+ degrees. I think it ruined the smoker too. What a waste of time and money.

That sucks! I clean my pit boss every 3 cooks. Always afraid of something like this.
My old stick burner, I never cleaned.

After doing some more research on the Master Built brand, it looks like its a massive design flaw that allows grease to drip into the flame box. Many people have had fires due to this. There are work arounds for it which I will do on the new one. I am going to trash this one as I want a fresh start with a new one.

Did a couple of Junk Removal jobs.

More Bikini Shopping for the Little Lady... I got a 30% off email and had $20 worth of points (yeah, a real bummer).
