It's Saturday Aug 3rd 2024.. What is everyone doing this weekend?

On well?  That's an assload of water!  And I'd assume constant topping off?
look at the third pic of my original post  right below the excavator bucket.  the black hole is the fill pipe from all ground water up above the hill and street.  besides that he has a solar powered well kit $1500 that is set in a natural spring where ground water is only 20 feet down and it will pump every day.  it will be quite easy and no cost!  it was a small seasonal pond before the project

Just wondering.  My work is is 37gal a min and 2, 58,000 tanks.   It's been rough to stay filled.  Haven't been 100% full for 4 months.  Julian area.

We use a ton of water with campers but I'm definitely realizing what happens with increase use.

Neighbor well is your well...

is that a typo?  2-  58,000 gallon tanks?  if so that is massive  and 37 gallons a min is huge!

you have an rv park or something?

Ya, that big.  Park stuff.  Huge usage. we've seen a drop of well production with post covid occupancy.  Been slowing down a bit but we've cut off all irrigation at this point

my well is 19 gallons a min for my house,  no storage tanks in operation at the moment,  my neighbor hit 100 gallons a min at 550 feet.

Driving the fack home and sleeping. Epic road trip, but this will be the last 7 hour road day for me for a while.

Thats interesting. Sweetwater river is still running pretty strong this late in august. Your mountain is its headwaters. Must just be the runoff from cuyamaca

sweetwater from the top of descanso falls a few days ago

Reverse Engineering time left till first dune trip and my must complete project list.  Then pull out the Procrastinating Calculator and see where I am at.

I bought my current house 21 years ago. It was a fixer upper and I did a lot just to make it livable. The one room I never updated was the service porch. Just did the bare minimum so inwas functional. Now that I'm divorced I have been motivated to really make the house nice for my kids and myself. Also helps with the dating. The current woman I'm seeing wanted to help so we've been working on one room at a time. When dafuq did paint get so expensive? 3 gallons of  ithing special paint at ACE Hardware was $177! Wasn't this stuff $10-$20 a gallon?

Regardless I'm stoked with the outcome. Peel and stick temporary floor until the kitchen and breakfast rooms are done and then I'll tile the floors.

If your in san diego area, six string is playing in Coronado at 6.  Good band, fun atmosphere.

Looks good LRS

Spent weekend in La Quinta, CA. temps hit 115, eff that.

Was hot as balls all weekend, happy to be back home.

Went to a neighbors home where he is putting in a huge pond. The liner is 100x110 and weighs 2000 lbs. had 20 guys pulling and tugging. The pond will be self cleaning with plants and an elaborate filtering system. The center is 25x40 with 8” block. It will have a dock and be 16 deep at the bottom.  Going to a wedding of a duner friends daughter in corona later tonight ( those are my two excavators)  the liner cost $8600

Damn, nice. I’ve been eying those natural swimming ponds for a while. Cool concept and gives you more than just a hole to sink chemicals into.
