What kind of 'Cado? Haas and its hybrids are ready to go in February. Are you just seeing pollinized fruit appearing or have yours been hanging on the tree since last year? Grapping a juicy Washington orange or any ripe citrus off the tree is one of the perks of living here. Gotta love the farm fresh eggs too. Hint: If you have mice, get a "tin cat" style mouse trap and release the mice to the chickens. They are little dinosaurs and will eat the field mice.Eating oranges right off the trees from my avocado and orange grove. First year since planted four years ago for an avocado harvest. Looks like it’s going to happen this year. My wife chicken coop's are full. She has 30 laying hens and 20 more babies. She gets about 2 dozen a day and sells them to neighbors.
Sorry to hear that, getting old sucks...it happens so fast. Wife took a header for some reason...socks on a wood floor, shoulder has been messed up since....I still make her go to the gym....rope broke when I tried to pull some dead limbs off a tree in bullhead.....hit the ground hard....felt it for a week. Be grateful we can all get up and move around.... Don't let the old man in!Glamis plans changed. Home recovering from a slip and fall. No broken bones just muscle strain.
Prep for Easter and have family over tomorrow.
Cheers
Our neighbor has 6 feral cats and since then mice have not been a problem. The avocados are about 2” long and lots of them. We have haas, Mexicola, reed and maybe a lamb. I agree. Nothing nicer than looking at a cut orange slice — beautifulWhat kind of 'Cado? Haas and its hybrids are ready to go in February.
