It's Saturday 6-29-2024.. What is everyones weekend plans?

Ah, the "Service Dog" loophole.  I'm all for doing what you want but these people and their F-ng dogs going anywhere and everywhere is so out of control.  The lake thing is dumb but people are using and abusing "Service Animal" to insane lengths.  I feel bad for people with a real service dog.

That's like telling the restaurant, your 19 year old son is under 10 to get the kids-eat-free deal.

Well @Bansh88 I totally abused that when my Dog Leah was alive. She went with me everywhere. My daughter said, "I'll register her your Emotional Support animal" I didn't know that existed. She did it online. I'm with you.................Abuse the system is not cool. I'm Guilty. Peace

Ya - agreed...people push it too much...I guess I'm one of those people now lol.

The peoples republic of California of course. They call it a reservoir and say you can't even go swimming. But for a few extra bucks you can water ski in which case yes, you can get in the water. My buddy took his dog out last year and thought he was going to get hassled. I'll let him know about the service dog loophole.
The local staff must not care about the rules too much...tons of people "waddling" in the lake / anchored and just swimming around their boats - few people with those flat lily pad things, etc.  I'm stoked as it's close to my house...not as cool as going to the river, but nice for a day trip to get out of the heat...and being able to bring my dog now is a big deal for me.

Yeah, we've never actually been hassled. Everybody, including the staff and cops patrolling, obviously thinks it's a stupid rule. Just seems crazy that it's a rule.

Two years ago I bought a one piece 33’ taper aluminum flag pole with 6” base. Beautiful. Well an accident happened s a 5000 lb rock rolled down a hill and bent the top 5 feet of my pole like 10 deg. I was devaststed.  Didn’t do anything with it for two years. Well I came up with an idea of how to bend it back and it worked. I installed it yesterday preparing for the week coming up. I love it. I made a cust centering piece that went inside the 10” I’d tube. And had a 8’ ground rod that it air chiseled into the ground

20240628_121128.jpgAnother dump run yesterday and some brake and wheel bearing love on the work van. Found why the vans been acting spicy in the snow and I've been eating front pads and rotors. Little to zero rear brakes. Adjusters were seized.20240627_174711.jpg

Rebuilt the AC in the truck today. New compressor, accumulator, and condenser. Guess this explains why it wasn’t working that great, not sure what that sawdust looking stuff is but I’m presuming a seal or something plastic from inside the compressor that broke and got pulverized.
