I had westcoast hotmop do my upstairs shower a few months ago. They did a great job.

Im a dummy and did engine work right before a smog. Batteries were disconnected so now i need to satisfy the drive cycles. He told me the old 7.3l usually take 30-40 miles. Ive done close to 100 but he thinks i need to look up the drive cycles online and start there. 

The link below wants me to drive from a stop up to 65mph and back down to a stop again. Repeat 10 times!!! Ive heard of people having this issue. One dude woke up at 2am and did it on the freeway while it was empty. Heres a silly question. Could you safely put a RWD F250 on jackstands and do the cycles floating in the air? 

My current plan is to say eff it. Paid the registration yesterday at AAA and will wait a month. Go back and see if it passes. If not then maybe go hovercraft style. Or find a big long empty street. Im not sure if the truck needs to start cold. Thats the problem with driving to a nice big safe street. The engine is warmed up. I think mostly the truck needs to see a load and check for misfire. It does this by making you accelerate to a certain MPH in a certain amount of time. Then back down to a stop. That would be easy to do once or twice. Doing it 10 times in a row seems impossible in an urban setting. How the heck would somebody in LA ever pass smog? The truck sits in traffic all day. I dont really believe that i need to follow these instructions exactly. Because the majority of people would never satisfy the conditions.

I used to be a flooring guy, my dad, my grand-dad etc. Worked my way through college on my knees (fuzzy side up, no pun intended), 2o years later decided to put wood floors in my house, 8 years later and my knees still haven't forgiven me. I applaud your effort and take as much time as you need :P

Wife's away for a week. Got a rack of deer ribs to smoke today, gonna toss a couple of beef ribs on too.

Reflect on those that came before us and the ones in the future that will lay down their life for this country even though there are some that don't deserve their sacrifice

They probably do it by not working on the car right before they try to get it smogged. :biggrin:

I made that mistake once. I drove it like normal for 2 weeks and it passed when I went back.

 
For my grand marquee,  it only too 4 days of driving to work and normal after work errands.  My scan tool told me when the bit was set and it was happy. 

 
Played in a Golf Tourney Monday $100.00 buy in. Two man best ball. My partner and I won the thing. Took home $400ea. Everytme I jumped on the Starting Gate.....I can honestly say I never won any money! Peace
