Its Saturday 5-13-23. What is everyone up too this weekend?

Bought new living room furniture and bedroom furniture. It got delivered on Friday. Got everything moved out and the new stuff in and set up Friday. Saturday morning we met up with my Mom and Grandmother and sister at the local cemetery to visit my Great grandmothers and Grandpas site. The plot needs some much needed love so I’m gonna return with some artificial turf and custom flower holders to spruce it up. Then we went to lunch for their Mother’s Day. Got home and Loaded all the old furniture on my trailer to make a dump run soon. Also cut down a tree and trimmed my neighbors trees that hang over my fence. Today for mothers day, I’m making my wife breakfast and doing whatever she wants. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Breakfast in bed for my wife. Using eggs from her chickens. They are producing about 8-10. She now has 16 more she hatched from her eggs. I went crazy with purchasing extra trees. Guy was moving his yard so 24” box trees went from a crazy low price of $90 per box for the first 40 trees then down to $50 for the next 21 then $20 for that last 20. I bought 81 trees and 17 shrubs in 15 gallon   I stayed home from work on Friday and hired a few guys and got 25 planted in one day. Holly oak, live oak, vitex , white birch, crape myrtle , Aleppo pine elderica pine, Ray wood ash, purple plum, ornamental pear, pepper tree, London plane, camphor tree, red bud, trono, Carolina cherry, privet , southern oak apricot, nectarine, cherries, pear, gala apple, walnut, Santa Rosa plum, peach, donut peach avocado,  strawberry tree

going into OC today to celebrate Mother’s Day with a few of our daugters

Also going to the cemetery to visit Mom and Grandma sites.

Picked up another j35a4 yesterday. Really clean low mile motor with complete wire harness still unmolested.

Anyone need a motor?

This motor was the cleanest I've ever gotten a hold of. Took a few small parts off and cleaned it with just simple green and brush and hose. Add in offroad parts!

Where are you going for gears? Already thinking about gears for my sequoia since its on 305’s now.

….be sure to put some miles on your truck before you tow with the new gears. Typical break in is 500-1k miles

What truck do you have? I put 4.88’s in my 2001 7.3 super duty. It was lifted with 37’s on 20’s. It had bolt on power mods. The 4.88’s worked great from a dig but once on the freeway, it hurt the pulling. If I hit a head wind I couldn’t go any faster than 65 mph due to running out of boost from being geared so low. Also, daily driving fuel mileage took a huge hit from running such high rpm’s. Should have went with 4.56’s. Now if you have a newer truck than you shouldn’t have much issues since they have more speeds in the trans.

Decided on MIT. Didn't think about the break in, maybe ill run it to work  this week to get at least a few miles on it.

05 f250 with the V10 on 35's, so I'm not worried about the revs. Mine has 4.10s, 4.88s should get it close to to factory 4.30 gears performance wise.

I had MIT do gears on a chevy 1500 back in 2002 they did a great job. Had 3k miles when i geared it. That truck is still owned by a friend and going strong @ 285k miles

Started out yesterday celebrating James McCoy 30 year Anniversary with Superior Door. Had a great time with employees and friends. Always a good time at the restaurant. We have a game I play, you pick the tab amount.......I'll pay you the amount. Yesterday it was $518.00. No one guessed it correctly. BUT, the closest one gets a $100.00 bill. There was a $525.00 guess. He got the Benjamin! It was like he won the lottery! Good times. Now, recoup. Then start fresh. Peace
and i have a customer who had a 20year employee retire, walked out the door and noone said a damn word. and he always wonders why he can't keep people!!

Good for you man, recognize them, treat them well and you have a 30 year partner!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never understood why people in that position can't acknowledge good when they have it. Thanks Zilla63. We're proud to have a small company that allows us a good income. It's not easy work. It's called work for a reason. Peace
