ITs Saturday 11-19-22 Whats Up??

Installed 4 more 4ft lights in the garage.  Have a total of 11 now.  It's perfect when the garage door is closed..

Then started on the 2.5 subaru reassembly.  Pulled the non-rail oil pan off.  Cleaned the head surface and got one rebuilt head torqued down. Might tackle the other one tomorrow.

No time better than the present to work on stuff that should have been ready a month ago.

Holtville hot springs, El Centro In-N-Out, Coyne, Lowe’s, Costco, Brawley Wal Mart.
The W was gusting over 30 in Mother G so a good day to run some errands.
Around what wash? Im reading wash 10 had a rave this weekend. Wonder if the same guys who were in 25 for vets.

Our entire group of 5 was up at 430am Saturday morning. Impossible to sleep through it.

Strange thing is it becomes louder inside the trailer. Like a receiver for the low frequencies to vibrate.

Went on a hike with some of my grand kids to tenaja falls
Love that hike and have backpacked all over those hills... but the wet granite around the falls always made me nervous when the boys were little ...was certain they were going to jack around and fall in

Yesterday was pulling out Christmas stuff for the GF to put up and putting away all the Fall/ Halloween stuff. Got in the usual argument.  If you buy 30% more crap for insert holiday here it's not going to fit in the same spot, and that is all the room you have for that stuff.

Today I am pulling out the Washer and Dryer, have new ones arriving tomorrow and have been informed it can't be dirty behind there. It may of been a little while sense I pulled that stuff away from the wall

Other then that as little as possible.

Water leaking under the Moho. Found the main water line from one tank to the other tank (didn't know I had 2 tanks) leaking this morning. 8" long 1 /3/8" ID. Of course Lowes Home Depot don't stock that ID. Going to order online. Steps won't retract so disconnect time. Today, repair day. Good thing the leak happened after the trip. Timing is everything. Peace

Check about the water supply shutoffs. Here in cali they will show up to install a new washing machine. If the angle valve looks old they will leave and say a plumber needs to install a new valve first. Happened to a property manager lady at her personal home. She is a major major b word. I cant believe the workers were able to leave without her yelling until they complied.

Good time to install water hammer arrestors if you dont have them already. I usually recommend new valves anytime youre installing a new machine. They clog and resist flow. Happens often to dish washers. The valve and hose clogs up slowly over the years. People swear their dishes used to come out cleaner and its true. It used to be getting a much stronger flow and also more volume of hot water.

They can try that bullshit with me all they want but they are leaving the machine and hoses and the $20 tip that I was going to give them for the install ,well they can kiss it goodbye as well.

Been working 16hr days for about 2 years straight; i have a ton of work to be done so have been trying to power through a cold for the past two weeks.

So, I was pressed into service last Yesterday.

(Just When I Thought I Was Out, They Pull Me Back In)

My buddy Lori Johnson was having a "Fund Raiser" for the San Pedro Elks Lodge. I supplied a couple of laptops and created a power point "Slide Show' that was pushed through a couple of projectors and aimed at the ceiling. Next we assembled the Karaoke gear debugging cabling as we went. Next to the Karaoke gear, an actual "Band" was setting up. They are called "The Time Machine". As this was a real charity event, there were drawings for prizes, and drawings for 50/50 fund sharing and such.

The Karaoke setup was used for the 6 professional singers we brought along for the event. (Not me)

I did run the laptop for a few songs, so yes, I fell back into the rhythm. The band played two sets and dancing broke out everywhere. (I tapped my foot)

With the singing before the band, during the band break time and again after the band finished it was a good evening. (Afternoon. 2:30 to 5:00 pm) I only had time to take a few pictures. One of the excellent bar.

The good news, a few thousand dollars were collected for the Elks Lodge charity.

Get out now while you can. It might be hard for you to start over at the bottom at 40 but it will be a lot harder for your wife and 3 kids to start over without you.

If your going to leave stop the 401K for now, pay off everything that isn't house related and pick a state. Once you have all credit cards, student loans, auto loans all paid off put the house up for sale and pick a state.  That way when you get to the new state and your new wage isn't going to be effected by your old states habits.

Get out before the kids go to high school they are going to hate it at first leaving their friends but in the long run will be better off by being in better schools.
