I'm here in North East San Diego at the "Hilton Getto Excalibur".
One step above homeless, and cheap too. (Kidding)
Today I'll distribute Christmas gifts for my extended family.
Alcohol will be involved.
Home tomorrow if I survive.

Hilton Review.
The TV dropped out audio and pixelated the screen only on conservative stations. (?)
The shower controls were frozen and refused to turn the water on.
The heater/A/C was built in 1950. Quiet? No.
The 120 volt outlets were 50% dead.
I'm sure some must have vacuumed sometime but not sure by the smell,
Bottle water in the room was priced at $3.00, (15 cents at Costco)

Add insult to injury, this "Getto" hotel does not have a free breakfast.
EFF!

So, might be a dumb question…but why stay there?
Obviously there are a lot of nicer places to stay.

My grandson made the reservation due to location near both family homes.
I did pay however. I probably will survive it. Next time, Trump Tower.

Worked on the man cave.

-installed two ceiling fans but considering two more.
-ran electrical to convert old light bar bulb ceiling lighting to modern LED lighting with color and temp adjustments via wifi.
-converted a few 2-outlet to 4-outlet units

Tomorrow:

Install the new LED ceiling lights.
Patch things up.
Installed two 75" TV brackets.

Attempting to fix some base molding.
using joint compound, apply, sculpt...let dry then sand and repeat probably 3-4 times.
Use a large trowel to sculpt by starting at the top then slide down, following the contour in an angle to kind of get the shape of the molding.
Well, in theory!
LMAO
Oh, I have my trusty helpers too!

I’m laying 14mm thick padded LVP that I picked up $.20 on the retail dollar. So basically, if box retails for $1, I get it for $.20. Guys wanted $4.6k-$8.5k for epoxy coating. I picked up the tools to diy.

Proper trip report Sir...?

Well waiting....
SR20VET rips. Day one, my wastegate actuator developed a leak and my motor saw beyond 20psi of boost. Swapped it for a spare in camp, all good. Led some rides at Mach Jesus. Did great otherwise.

Father in law’s transaxle left the chat at Swingset. Used the LS Jeep to get him out. Sadly, had to drive back in the driving rain and ended up sick as a dog, left yesterday and was rocking 103* fever when I got home.

Pulled 4 vehicles out of that kiddie track with the Jeep. Some were great guys that we helped, others were a bit douche canoey, so we got them out and left them to it.

Otherwise, the Jeep towed a buggy out from Osbourne area (super easy drag around to the front) and another buggy with a dead trans all the way from Gordon’s on a Duner Diner run.

As stated above, I was finishing distributing Christmas
to all involved.
This did include some for me.
