How was your Dune season?

Still going, Not as many trips this year and not nearly enough nights.  Work/ Life has made it harder to go for longer durations.  Really miss the 7-10 day trips.

Well I will tell you after this weekend IF I can make it. Had 3 trips before the new year that all went well, then blew up my transmission on the way to the Hammers and missed 2 planned trips old school round up and presidents day which I haven't missed in 20 years minus my moms passing back in 2018. Finally got my truck back after it sitting in Yucca Valley waiting on warranty service for a month! Got my truck home weekend before last, head out to my lot to get my trailer out and prepped this weekend and ended up spending it fixing a broken landing gear. I am wearing nothing but green for the rest of the week and hoping for a little good luck for a change.

Been a good season for us. Not enough trips as work seems to get in the way. Last sand trip will be next weekend At Glamis. Looking forward to it as it’s the only trip I made there this season!

Both great and crummy.  I enjoyed the 2 trips we made but the season ended with a very final tone.

I have to say I'm very grateful for everyone in our group and for all of the great folks here on the forum.   Especially all of the folks that put together the vets weekend.

Been a stellar year.  My girls and my buddys kids are finally going on real rides with us.  Had some bitchen summer trips.  Doubt I can skip any trip without my kids now.

Even got the wife out for a quick trip and saw some crazy weather and wash floods.

Only had 2 trips so far due to work commitments, and the VW engine in the old Funco blew on the first trip.

Heading out Friday morning with the new to me Textron XX, hopefully it isn’t broken as much as the rail was 🤞

Season didn’t really get into full swing for us until December. Both of my boys play tackle football so weekends are shot for the first half of the season. But we made up for it in the latter half. Top takeaways for the season was the buggy treated me very well all year. And both my boys 9 and 11 are able to ride their quads all in the big dunes from sunset to olds to brawley slide.

That was a good time for me when the kids could ride the big dunes. Proud Dad Day! Peace

We were just talking about this in Glamis this past weekend. I think I'm somewhere around 16 to 17 trips and probably close to 50 days. I still have two more trips planned and if the weather stays around 90 I will keep going. I think last year I went into May.

Damn, some of you guys spend a LOT of time out there, only made 1 trip with one more on the schedule as moving out of Ca took most the weekends. Good thing is I can ride for days out of my garage and the season is just starting here  :smilie_flagge13:

3-4 trips a season is about all we can do these days, only 3 trips this season. Wish we could do more trips but fortunately the reason we can’t make a glamis trip is because we are out on another fun trip elsewhere. Nice to see that big group picture posted above, our original group have all but quit going.
Life is good.

I want to say I REALLY LOVE reading all this from everyone. Its Very Heart warming

Same here, I usually get 5 trips a year in, this year only 3 trips (16 days total, I am making my trips longer).  We have been doing some other things as well, headed to LaPaz tomorrow, have taken the Raptor out for some day trips off roading, a couple of days skiing (which I haven't done in 6 years), and next month doing the Mojave trail in the truck.  All good, staying busy and exploring different things.

Um, EXPENSIVE!   3 trips so far. Hoping to get in one more. Cracked block that leaked oil. Had to essentially rebuild it. Other than that, I had a great time out there.
