How long since your last ticket? how many times have you talked your way out of one?

Have had lots of tickets, got out of a few along the way. Haven’t had a ticket since 2010. I’m old, drive less, drive slower and have a Cdl, don’t need issues.

Was probably around 2013. Doing a turn around trip to G to get the toy hauler out of storage. Was headed to Glamis doing almost 90 on the 86 and not paying attention. Next thing I know I see a CHP coming my way. Was not a friendly cop either and wrote me for 86. That ticket sucked

I'll confess, it's been a while. The only ticket was for "Following Too Close".
Yes, I was guilty. I was in my BAJA, and on a mission.
Eff, Lighted up, pulled over early 1960s..
Non since,

Was driving thru chino backstreets on way to work...guy in front of me wasn't going fast enough for my stupid ass... pulled around to pass him, saw the motor with the radar pointed right at me on the side of the road.....saw him putting it away.....there was a spot open right in front of him... I pulled over and into the spot.....he looked at me for a second.....then got off his bike and walked over.... I had my hands on the wheel and the windows down..... "did you see me, or just a coincidence you pulled over?". I said, I saw you, you got me, no sense in making you chase me.......HE just looked at me puzzled.....kind of chuckled and said "Slow down....you pulled over, that's why I'm letting you go". Been driving a LOT slower since.

I've probably gotten over 100 tickets in my driving career. First time I got cited as a licensed driver I tried to outrun the cops but ran out of gas. Got arrested and 7 tickets. I was 16.
January 1, 1999 to December 31, 1999 I got 57 tickets. A judge informed me of that statistic as I sat accused in his courtroom. I stated that if that doesn't prove that I could never get a break then I don't know what does. He laughed pretty hard and gave me a break.
Outran the cops a lot. Probably would have got a lot more tickets if I hadn't.
I've been arrested twice in one day twice (two separate occasions this happened). It was all for trafficky stuff.
I was pretty crazy when I was younger. Went as fast as I could go every where I went.

Slow and low.

Got warned twice by CHP passing by the BP Station on the way to Glamis.....one guy told me the dunes are not moving anywhere that fast...slow down hahaha

Did get a speeding ticket on the way to a hockey practice a few years ago, it was the CHP guy in the truck...he was a dick.

Probably been 20 years since I've had a moving violation ticket. Had a few parking tickets. I've talked my way out of countless tickets for speeding. Driving 75 mph south on the 86 near Westmoreland, got lit up by CHP headed north. Cop walks up and says he had rolling radar. Told him I wasn't paying attention. He asked who's car was on my trailer an I said it's my buddy Ty's car. The cop says, that's "Turtle" right? I was like, uh, yeah, it's Ty's Racer. He said I follow him on Instagram. Oh, sweet. He said looks like your 37" tires are making you speedometer off a little, right? Uh, yeah. He told me to slow down and be careful in Glamis.

New young CHiPs are asshats wearing $150 pants chasing taillights all day..........................

They don’t even hand write tickets, they give you a CVS long ass receipt ticket!!!!

I have been to Advanced EVOC 3 times and taught driver safety classes in my career, drove over 100,000 miles in marked vehicle and the snot nose 24 yr old yout wrote me for 72 in a 65 on hwy 62 going down the grade.

Started interaction with very nice and polite conversation, but snot nose boy pulled the "I have the Power, how dare you endanger the public with your reckless driving" tud and so I proceeded to dress him down with PC codes (basic speed law) and real life situation.

I was also a real dick and told him to have a better day and I was going to his moms house and we could talk in the morning!

A procedure CHiP has is to have the pulled over driver leave the stop first so they cannot come up behind you for officer safety, so I just parked it. He yelled at me on the PA and I just ignored him. After about 5 minutes he finally pulled out and left the scene.

Just to be more of a dick, showed up in court, the judge recognized me, I explained my case and he dismissed.

Only ticket in 30+ years.

Talk about the EVIL EYE glare when he see me.

Don’t do what I did, I know how far I can push the law

CHP is the worst, rarely ever give any professional courtesy. Stopped once towing my 5th wheel for 63mph while passing an old lady doing 45mph on the 15. Advised is was off duty and armed just as a courtesy. Started to lecture me that I knew better being LE and especially since I have a commercial license. Yelled back and told him to write me or let me go, I don’t need a lecture. He was pissed at me but let me go without a ticket. Several partners of mine have not been so lucky.

Last actual ticket I’ve had was 25+ years ago

My First ticket was the same day I got my licence. I wasted no time.

Drove a flat black 71 Mustang coupe in highschool with glass packs. Lived in a small town. Got pulled over 11 times in the 13 months I drove that car. Never a ticket though. Cops new all of our cars in HS and we all got pulled over constantly. We all were speeders. They were fishing for pot and drinking though.

Last one was about 15 years ago, heading on the i15n to Dumont towing an enclosed for a day trip. Had my kids with me and got pulled over doing 70, thought I had a pretty good chance till the CHP got out with a high and tight and put on his campaign hat low in the front and high in the back, told the kids "dads getting a ticket for sure this time"... I was correct.

Reactions: THD
One day back in band camp I was going to work I got pulled over 3x on the way. All stops and tickets were within a 25 minute period. 1 was speeding, 1 was impeding traffic, 1 was too low. Another time I got pulled over and received a 3 page ticket, this ticket took well over an hour to write. These were fun times. I think I got 17 tickets that year. After the two stops above and a few following and leading to those stops it was apparent we had an issue and we filed harassment law suit against the police dept. Problem was resolved within 60 days and was never stopped again in that city. And the tickets above the officers never showed up to court.

There was another ticket I got for tinted windows by Anaheim pd in a grocery store parking lot. It was a surprise to find a cop waiting for me when I came out

I have only had one moving violation in 54 years of driving I was in my mid 20’s and moving out to the foothills was speeding wrote 40 in 25 residential zone on a rural road but when I made my next trip checked where the officer said it was posted and she was right. I have deserved many I drive pretty hard. I have had a ton of overload tickets and permit and equipment violations through the years used to own a trucking company. My Dad made my brother and I a deal at 16 no moving violations before 21 was worth 1k I collected on my 21st birthday not saying I didn’t deserve many tickets back then also lol 😂

It has been a really long time for me maybe 10 years or 12. i have had some close ones but have talked my way out of at least 2 in the last year. Makes my wife furious as she gets pulled over for not having a front lic plate

Ill tell you mine later.....

tell us your story..............
It's been over 35 years. My story is it's called radar detector

i havent had one of those in a long time, but i ride a bike too what do you use and do you get lots of faults?
Funny you mention that, my last ticket came from riding a motorcycle!!! LoL I have had the same radar detector for years, and when it finally died from the AZ heat, I replaced it with another one due to it being so reliable. In fact, it saved me today coming home from Glamis, north bound 95 from the 10, near Aha Quin..... I have a Beltronics RX65
