House Painting complete, July22

@endobear Im not much into the modern art kind of buildings, but that is pretty darn cool.  the view is awesome too.

is that just textured concrete on the outside?  do you just wash the crap out of it, fix the cracks & spray & roll back over it?

We had a few folks work here that came from a sister company in Denver & they said that being @ 5000+ feet the sun rips everything to shreds.  I never considered that...........  I can only imagine what its like in Albuquerque (7000'+).
It's known as the Sleeper House or Sculpture House. Heading West out of Denver on I-70 you can see the clam shell  to the South.

Yep. Just wash, scrub, wash some more, bonding primer on badly streaked areas, caulk cracks and bankroll  finish 2x.

Most of the original house is textured concrete. Plus some stucco and Dryvit type finishes on the additions .

This place is probably at 7000'.

The sun is definitely brutal in the Denver area. We mostly work in the foot hills west of Denver at 6000' to 10,000'. chit takes a beating..

It's pretty bitchen inside. The owner is a car guy too20180907_085839.jpg20180907_085823.jpg20180907_085817.jpg20180907_085809.jpg20180830_093447.jpg20181004_105006.jpg

dude even has an R2D2, THATS ballin.  LOL.

I absolutely HATE painting.

We're remodeling inside right now.  Bathroom is 99% complete.  I told my GF she can paint the rooms whatever colors she wants.  BUT, SHE is painting it.

We did windows and huge sliding door last year, so there are a couple spots that need the stucco touched up.  Then repaint the exterior.  Not looking forward to that.
we bought ours in 2016, I bought my previous one new and kept it new... all the upgrades were just that. In the current home we have done:

1) all comercial copper plumbing, old chit was rusted galvanized

2) all new windows and sliders

3) bathroom remodel

4) 3 bedroom remodels

5) 3/4 of a kitchen remodel(still in progress)

6) living room remodel

7) redo stucco and paint external

and the effing list goes on lol, I'm only about 2/3 done with this place
