It's known as the Sleeper House or Sculpture House. Heading West out of Denver on I-70 you can see the clam shell to the South.@endobear Im not much into the modern art kind of buildings, but that is pretty darn cool. the view is awesome too.
is that just textured concrete on the outside? do you just wash the crap out of it, fix the cracks & spray & roll back over it?
We had a few folks work here that came from a sister company in Denver & they said that being @ 5000+ feet the sun rips everything to shreds. I never considered that........... I can only imagine what its like in Albuquerque (7000'+).
Yep. Just wash, scrub, wash some more, bonding primer on badly streaked areas, caulk cracks and bankroll finish 2x.
Most of the original house is textured concrete. Plus some stucco and Dryvit type finishes on the additions .
This place is probably at 7000'.
The sun is definitely brutal in the Denver area. We mostly work in the foot hills west of Denver at 6000' to 10,000'. chit takes a beating..
