that is super nice.  I would love to build one of those on a modern 4x4 chassis.

Yes it is. I don't really remember Pinto coming in a wagon but I guess they did.
 
I remember seeing one as a kid and Mike Moran used to run this in the "fastest street car" days

Saw these 2 gems this morning at a grocery store. The VW had a Subie motor. Everywhere you looked it had so many odd details. Saw blades for a grill, Machine gun on the roof rack, vice grips holding the mirrors to the door hinges, definite mad Maxx and burning man rolled into one.
