Highway Star

Not many race cars have a life after being beat for years... super cool.  Now days though race cars start life as a pile of tubing.... (and maybe a quarter panel).. 

 
This was kind of special...  "wing friday", "rice-a-roni", and "highway WTF" rolled into one.  LOL 

The wing was flipping between lift and downforce and looked to be rattling the bolts out of it.

This car has a great story, it was raced then the body was taken off and a Henry J body was put on to make it more streamline then the body was sold, later Donnie bought the body back to build a street rod for his wife. He built it with a big block but his wife wanted a blown hemi so he built her a blown hemi. If you notice when it was a race car it never had a grill, one day I was visiting the speed shop and she told me to come in the office she wanted me to see what Donnie bought her for Christmas and it was a new grill. She was so excited you would have thought he bought her a new fancy car. You have to love real car people. DON~~~

I'm no expert, I thought the damn thing was an FF. It looks like it's a GTC4 Lusso though. 

 
Today's "guess what's under the cover"...  this one is so easy ypu should probably have to guess what decade the car is as well....  LOL 

Also a side order of nostalgia... anyone guess what was in the big open field???   :classic_sad:

Nope.  I looked at the back window through the tarp and figured looking at it was not worth the spider bites.  

 
Met JD in irvine for a fresh laptop sat morning, when we got on the 405 south this lamborgini drove by, right after i snapped this pic he got on it and got infront of me, he was going about 80mpg and hit a bump 100’ infront of me and i swear his rear tires had at least 6” of daylight under them 😂. Funniest thing i’ve seen in a while im sure he crapped his pants and no doubt did some damage to his car. My kids were laughing their azzes off
