Hey Mark!

They were bad ass.

Learned how to pop the dents out of the pipe with heat and air.

Put an air cooled 500 engine in a 250R frame way back and it was a chain stretching, sprocket chewing, vibrating SOB, but we were the fastest thing on Comp Hill! Had a Turner port and pipe.

I don't recall Mark ever being on two wheels, dating back to 2005.

Fireball is our in house Service Honda CR500 Veteran. Those things are bad ass.

So I never rode a dirt bike and wanted something different. Everyone was saying get a CR500 and im like no way am i learning on a 500. Bought a CR250 and burned it up. lol Came across a true trailer queen 2001 with maybe 6 hours on it and could not pass it up. Bought it from Wayno and Buggy Gal here on the board. It made life a lot easier in the dunes that's for sure and I think I rode it once in the dirt with Fireball and his AF. I was never that good on it but it was fun. Of all of the bikes I had that one bothers me the most about selling. I will have to see if I can find some pics of it. When I sold it everyone thought of course, I wanted too much for it. A guy from Pismo was ready to buy a brand-new AF for 10K and I think I wanted 4K. He asked if I would meet him half way and I said yes. But i will not come down on the price even by 10 bucks. It took him about 2 minutes, and it was loaded in his truck.

At the Honda parts department, we had a CR500 piston sitting around on the desk.It looked like a damn coffee can....

The only one I ever rode belonged to my friend , mike , who actually paralyzed himself , on that beast back in the nineties...
