Help scorpion car steering shaft and rack

You can replace just the threaded end. Also available from Pacific Customs, I had to do this once. Then just weld on what you need.

Have new clevis with new rack , was thinking cut clevis at shoulder. Cutting rod at shoulder and having. New threads tig welded

Looks as how they did it originally. I would do the same. I just mig welded mine and have bent the threaded portion and not the welded area, it held up.

I just found a local welder that is willing to tig weld all the pieces suppose to drop off tuesday !
