One was recent, I was on a run from my shop on my bike near the 5/91 interchange as I went under an underpass (in the shade from the road above) was a full-size tire and rim in the middle of one of the lanes. it would have been hard to see until you were right on top of it because of time of day and shadows. I could have just continued on my errands but pulled over ASAP and ran back to the tire. I was out of both lanes to try to time the removal of the tire in traffic, but a big rig was coming and was going to hit it straight on! I ran into his lane waving my arms and pointing at the tire. At the last minute he swerved really hard to avoid the tire! right after he passed, I was able to run out and get the tire out of the lanes. that would have been a horrible crash. afterwards a homeless guy in a tent right next to the freeway saw me and gave me the thumbs up--I thought that was a little funny

Yes maybe 15 years ago a friend and I went fishing at one of our remote little S. AZ lakes on a Friday with gorgeous weather. There were no other vehicles in the parking lot when we got there. We took off in my 10 hp 16 ft boat and went to the other end of the lake to do some fishing, but it wasn't going so well and I think we ran out of beer or bait (I don't remember which, maybe both) about 11 AM. We went back to the boat ramp and when we got close there was something "funny-looking" floating out in the lake off of the ramp. It turned out to be an 84 year old man in a "belly boat" (basically an inner tube with waders attached) who had gotten in at the ramp to do some fishing but somehow got flipped sideways and could not right himself, and could barely keep his face out of the water. We got him up on the pier and he was OK, but he would not have been in just a short while. He thanked us a bunch and we told him to not go by himself anymore.

I often think about how lucky it was that we ran out of stuff and came back when we did. No one else was at the lake. A few minutes later and it would have been all over for him and we would have found him like that.
 
Just recently, I was driving my big rig down the 5/91 interchange through an underpass. Some crazy dude jumped out on the freeway waving his arms, I was heading straight for him & could’ve killed him, but instead I swerved really hard to avoid him, most likely saving his life. Thank goodness for my quick thinking and fast reflexes. (y)(y)

When I drove past, I quickly glanced in my side mirror to see if he was okay, but all I could see was a homeless guy in a tent giving me a big thumbs up. Pretty funny if you ask me.
 
Family of three in Lake Havasu. We noticed people in rough water and a wave runner about 50 yards away being blown further away. The moms face was half in the water trying to hold her 2-3yr old above surface, the dad was seperated from them by 10-15 yards. We pulled up along side the mom and grabbed the little boy, then my son helped the lady get up(more like roll) onto the rear swimdeck. Fired engine to get boat to the husband. Dude was 🤏 this close to going under, zero strength to even climb onboard. ....so my 40yo son literally lifted & dragged him up. All 3 safe/sound. Rental waverunner, though it'd drive like a motorcycle. Nope. Worst part, only one lifevest that he had, infant boy had waterwings. At one point before we got to them he tried to throw his vest to the wife but the wind took it. Nightmare, adrenaline rush that ultimately saved 3 lives, no question.
My wife was pissed after all said & done. She says, "did you see the three boats ahead of us just go right around them?"

Called a friend I hadn't talked to in a while, just out of the blue....he said he had his gun in his hand and was about to take his own life!
EFFF...brought me to tears, but so glad I called!
Sometimes you just never know about a hunch or just a feeling...my feeling was I wonder how so and so is...Think I'll give a call!
He was going through a rough time...but things turned around!
 
Haven't saved one, but basically held a man as he died from the injuries of a MC wreck waiting for the EMS. Tough way to start a vacay weekend...
