In a way it is how you look at it, they still had $80 per day tickets with food and drink standing only, on a hour and a half race dont thing you really need a seat. but those tickets went instantly, then had tickets for around $150 per day in a 3 day deal was around $500.
When you get your news from Instagram, then things can get a little blow out of proportions,
All the food included was from Woolf Gang, so it was not like a hot dog event add Nascar, the $500 for 3 days went pretty instant also, that was left with $1000 for 4 days, now we car getting into Disneyland prices.
But just as much fun with food included for $200 was the practice sessions and qualifying, i know the P1 did not go well but, you where allowed to come back for P2 and P3. but most went home after getting kicked out for P1, due to them not knowing if P1 and P2 where going to go.
The Very First Year of NASCAR in Las Vegas, we waited 3 hours in line to get in on the freeway, and almost 4 hours to leave. so F1 had it better under control for the first year, especially all the Road Construction for the Oakland Raiders.
Then the opening of F1 with all the entertainment is like no other race. I think i paid around $100 alone to go see Tiesto at a different venue.
Wolf Gang is not my favorite, but it beats a $15 hot dog and a $25 soda at monster jam.
If you are into just Racing then i would say that F1 is really not for you, and stay away, The best racing experience for the money will be Top-Fuel (pits, free roaming of area, constant racing) But if you want to go to a Event with upper class food and entertainment and racing gambling parties then that is where F1 Shines.
