Glamis this weekend!

I guess I better not bring up our Media Crew Vests....LMAO!!
That is a story for another topic.
So, what I say...what other people think of me is none my business!
If someone gives me crap cause I'm wearing an MX jersey (From a time in my life that so much fun), then good for them, poke that fun!!!
To me it makes sense to wear offroad stuff....Offroad, but what do I know? I'm a dumb sxs owner!
Hahaha!

:unsure::ROFLMAO:🍻
Same here. I wear a mx jersey for the lightweight full arm sun protection. I wear it in the buggy & mountain biking. Luckily I'm old enough now that I don't give 2 cents what other people think about me.

A good friend of mine won the Shock Therapy shock tune & springs at the Sand Show. They offered to do the service at Camp RZR so he did not have to drive to ST in AZ. Another friend scheduled to have his car done at the same time. Neither had ever been to Camp RZR and it had been 20 years since both being in the desert on a Holiday weekend.

Both got their shocks rebuilt, and did a quick test ride and go the hell out of there. They said it was crazy, and the traffic was like being on the 52 at 5pm. On the way back home they stopped in Plaster City and tested the cars some more.

You guys are not understanding the jersey reference. Its large groups who flash mob an area. They all wear the same jersey from dad all the way down to the childrens. They are known to have large desert parties in AZ and create havoc.

Latinos have always LOVED the outdoors. We work hard, then play hard outside at the local parks, beaches, etc. and now Glamis

There has been a huge population boom of this group over the last 10 years or so, SxS's are are the heart of it 100%

I know there are some huge issues in those groups as there are some that are flat out douchebags, leave trash and beer cans, thrash riding areas and are just out of control. It's easy to see all over IG and TikTock, search "Rutas" and a dozen groups will pop up.

I just don't like generalizations of a community as a whole. Allot of good families are discovering this sport again, its good for everyone.

How does the existing, tenured community address the newbies that don't care or simply haven't a clue? They are not going away. : crusty :

Heavy BLM education campaign and then heavy BLM/law enforcement activity. First show them right vs. wrong and then punish them for wrong. For all groups. Has anything else worked so far? Nope. Most these newbies (ages 20-30) are a part of some facebook group or instagram page where they see large groups trying to clean up the dunes and follow rules. They are still choosing to leave trash, drive drunk, and fight. There needs to be consequences for not following the rules.

Absolutely agree!!! Punish for breaking the current laws and make it hurt! We don't need any new laws just enforcement of the current ones.

That's pretty cool, what is the value of the package they won ? Did you get any feed back on the performance after the service was done ?

I think the full shock package was right around $2000. At the Sand Show they had marked those little ST stuffed animals that looked like their shock logo. They they hid them around the show on cars that had ST shocks on them. We are not there 10 min and my friends daughter is looking and reaches under a RZR front fender by the upper shock mount and finds it. They assumed they won a Swag pack or something. They took it over to get the free Tshirt or whatever and were told they won a full shock package with installation.

Also the guys at ST when installing his new shocks, noticed he had a bent tie rod. So they hooked him up on their tie rod kit and installed it right there. To say my friend was happy as hell is an understatement.

They other guy had to pay for his shock rebuild and tune but got a few $100 off due to a show special price or something.

Both said the cars way better then stock, but did not really get to fully test as it was to crowded, and they were planning to head home.

Thanks for explaining! I had no idea why everyone was talking about jerseys. I'll be on the lookout for that in AZ.

I do it for sun protection, plus they are lightweight and breathable. I don't have any longsleeve shirts that are as comfy, plus I have a bunch of jerseys from my dirt bike days!
Might not be fashionably "Cool" but neither is skin cancer! Already had some melanoma dug out of my neck!

So, I am that lame guy with the MX jersey.. LOL!

🍻
If you are someone who drives with your forearm leaning on the door while driving on the freeway or in town, I recommend a forearm sleeve that you can have stored in your car. I wear them while hiking and also when I have my sunroof open on long drives.

Here was a nice little roll over… not me thankfully. The kids that work for me saw them and helped them flip it back over. Rough day if you flip your Sand car on its lid.

This guy created a very exciting video of the past weekend. He also seems to have an excellent SxS business.
