Going back to gas though! I'm over the diesel...all the electronics, the def, the emissions, fuel filters every other oil change, blah blah blah.after all that, yOre doing it again?
My friend has a 2500 on order and same deal - no mark-up. I have be shopping around for a new 1/2 ton and have been able to negotiate deals under MSRP or at MSRP. Just waiting for the car makers to start offering good interest rates on the truck on want.Wow...50K over????
I just spoke with GMC and might be ordering a 2024 2500 HD.
They said 3 Months. No mark up!
With that, my 2018 2500 HD Duramax will be up for sale soon if anyone is interested.
Was probably a 2023. They did a redesign for 2024...all new interior, new colors. Plus what I like is they added the 10spd trans to the Gas 2500 HD.my buddy just bought a new chevy 2500 hd dmax off the lot here in okla. 68k out the door plus 2k for a 5yr b to b warranty. he tried to build it online and said price was within 200.00 dollars. it had a power rear window and a sunroof which he didn't really want, or need, but vs waiting on a build he bought it.
my buddy has a raptor and says he can't barely afford to drive it, said he gets horrible mileageWas probably a 2023. They did a redesign for 2024...all new interior, new colors. Plus what I like is they added the 10spd trans to the Gas 2500 HD.
Now going back to the Topic of the Raptors...It blows me away how much they are getting for those. Would be a cool daily driver I think.
Ram has some new model...off-road style to compete with the Raptor, but that thing is well over 100K :simrak: 700 hp though
Must be a Raptor R, my regular 2019 Raptor gets around 16mpg.my buddy has a raptor and says he can barely afford to drive it, said he gets horrible mileage
I was looking at the new ferd's with the 7.3 gasser, almost as much umph as the older diesels like mineGoing back to gas though! I'm over the diesel...all the electronics, the def, the emissions, fuel filters every other oil change, blah blah blah.
Still sticking with the 2500 HD though.
My new 6.7 diesel has a lot of umph. PeaceI was looking at the new ferd's with the 7.3 gasser, almost as much umph as the older diesels like mine
That's like going back to a Rhino.Going back to gas though! I'm over the diesel...all the electronics, the def, the emissions, fuel filters every other oil change, blah blah blah.

I wouldn't go that far by any means. I drove a 2023 gas version...Felt great, didn't seem to lack on power! That's like going back to a Rhino.
Friend has one. With the 10 speed, hauls a toy hauler over the San Diego I8 grade, you just have to see a larger number on the tach because it’s gas (no real noise). Your enclosed would be zero issues with that truck (and likely overkill). Hell, any HD packaged half ton wouldn’t blink. MPG empty isn’t hugely different between diesel and gas unless you delete the emissions equipment.Going back to gas though! I just sold my 2021 tacoma trd pro for basically msrp. 2 years old with 18000 miles on it. What a strange world we're living in.Damn the new trucks are stupid expensive. My Ford dealer keeps sending me offers to buy my truck back for what I paid for it 4 years ago, that's fine and all but it would cost me another 20k to get another one, no thanks. I'm going to throw another coat of wax on my 2019 super duty and keep it another 8 or 10 years LOL.
the issue with those new trucks is they still have the CP4 pump and that's the week point... if they retrofitted back to the CP3 i'd be all inMy new 6.7 diesel has a lot of umph. Peace
Funny you say that. A friend just picked up a 6.7 yesterday from a dealership in San Bernadino and 2 miles down the road the CP4 let go.the issue with those new trucks is they still have the CP4 pump and that's the week point... if they retrofitted back to the CP3 i'd be all in
So, 2 miles on the CP4 (plus whatever the initial test drive off the truck is)? Dayum...Funny you say that. A friend just picked up a 6.7 yesterday from a dealership in San Bernadino and 2 miles down the road the CP4 let go.
sucks, 7-10k to repair if it's not under warranty... and get ready for a fight if it is under warranty. They're blaming bad diesel and def chit for the fuel system issues on these when everyone knows that pump SUCKSFunny you say that.
