Ford Is Hiring, But No Joy

From the article:

Ayep. And those jobs will remain open for as long as welfare and unemployment benefits remain competitive with a real job.

What I wanna know is...

Who's working at all the vehicle manufacturing plants, in Mexico??

Anyone have any first hand knowledge about this?? 🤷‍♂️

LOL. I did the dealer game from 2001-2012 for VW. 4 different dealers in that time. Warranty flat rate effing blows (and the German's paid better on warranty than the domestics), cp isn't much better. Had an opportunity to get out of that mess mid 2012 and went to an indy shop and salary pay. Been here 13 years, best move I could've made in this industry, for me anyway. Flat rate and dealer politics is for the birds. When I leave here, I'll be leaving the industry as a whole.

Mind if I ask what shop you are at now? Is it still VW, euro-centric? Always looking for your euro shop for watercooled work.
