forcast.......

Eh.  Lived in East County San Diego my whole life.  Nothing out of the ordinary.

Hit Glamis during a summer heat advisory 2 years ago.  119 pulling onto Gecko.  I'll avoid that from now on.  110 is my cap.
I was also there that weekend. Was hot. I set max temp I will go is also 110.

Whelp, add that to the no column...

Retirement locations:

                Texas (never mind that weather)

                California (Screw this place)

                Florida

                Arizona (Good choice)

                Missouri

                Georgia

                N/S Carolina

Utah or Idaho is nice too.  little white stuff in the winter though. some of the most beautiful places in the country.  People are real nice too

Was in Parker last weekend.   Didn't feel hot till you got out of the water.  IMG-20230714-WA0000.jpg

we own property near Soldier mountain & the older I get & the closer I get to retirement the less & less building a house & dealing with snow on a dirt road appeals to me....

We did a week in Utah a couple of years ago & enjoyed it.  might go back for a followup....  but my wife has been near a beach her entire life.....  I think dragging her away from that is gonna be hard.  but...  a lake might work.

If TX weather bothers you, scratch the Carolinas and Georgia off of that list.

Yep. Learned that lesson maybe the same weekend. Spent more time in the canal than the dunes.

You are supposed to be outrage and think this isnt normal!!!

i was thinking this has been and extremely mild late spring/early summer. But apparently according to the news im way wrong. Not sure how i got so confused. Lived here 40 years and have experienced much much worse :dunno:
My drive back from Pismo my phone kept trying to reroute me to avoid “excessive heat advisories”… it was upper 80s/low 90s…  :classic_blink:

Every year I get let down twice. Chargers and Angels.  :laugh1:

Went to the office this morning at 5:45am. It was 87*. But it's a wet heat. Sweat like crazy. Making an effort to PEE! Peace

Sure It's hot it's miserable no denying it. Right now I have two projects going right now and one is all underground work one is roof top work whatcha going to do cept drink water and stay covered.  The guys are done by 12:30 for the day and I figure I get about 40% effort after 9am. Not much else I can do, but know this when it is hotter than hades outside I don't need to break out a shovel to go to the grocery store or work because you can't shovel sunshine. Plus the only place I will live where it might snow is right where I live right now, 16" from the face of the sun.

Sure we all would love to live where it's 75 and sunny everyday but there really isn't enough room for all of us to live in Sandy Eggo now is there.  Just be happy that there are some of us who have the internal fortitude to deal with the heat otherwise could you imagine how crowded California would actually be?

84 hot and humidity sucks in Fort Wayne Indiana....wtf am i doing here?

State Roller Hockey Championships and Johnny Apple 🍎 seed is buried here....that's all i have doud to interest me so far.

The one time I went to that god forbidden state. They were having a cold snap it was right around freezing for a high but they had a week of warmth first so no snow to speak of but a bunch of frozen mud. Every injury I ever had hurt like hell  and the place looked like a war zone.

Plus had to spend it with the Ex and her family.

I bought 7.5 arces on the Fall river only 30mins for St. Anthony's  older I get the more I want to be up there for  a few months a year. Staring at the Tetons and listening to the river sound would be good for me.  I don't mind building still I have a few projects going anyway.  100x60 barninuim is what I am going to build up there.  3 year plan.  go up there first of June come back when kids go back to school in Aug.
