Favorite Camp dishes

What are your favorite things to cook in camp? Getting burned out on steaks, grilled chicken and carne asada. Looking for new ideas that are minimal work.
 
I make a batch of white boy burritos before the trip. Beef, refried beans, tons of taco seasoning and put it in a big Tupperware. I will eat it for a few lunches/dinners depending on what’s up with my wife and i’s cooking schedule.
Or we will get 2 Costco chickens, refried beans and make chicken tacos through the trip.
I’m not a fan of hotdogs and hamburgers so this is just a substitute.
We also do the steak and potato dinners, family dinners, etc.. this is just that easy alternative other than turkey sandwiches.
 
Here's 2 i like:
Costco in San Diego has a Korean BBQ in the fresh meat / prepared food section...I usually add diced mushrooms and more onions. It's a pretty big container and if you split it up and freeze some in zip locks it cooks quickly - just keep the bags flat so it freezes like a flat meat pancake. Easy and quick on a blackstone...i switched to a blackstone last season and ditched the BBQ...way more versatile.

Frozen tail off peeled and deveined shrimp (so there's no prep - also at Costco usually) for shrimp tacos...butter, add salt, pepper, garlic...fresh pico, cheese, sour cream - and Truff hot sauce (awesome sauce they have at Costco now....sometimes). I like this option - as you can use the same fixin's from carne or polo tacos - shrimp tacos one night, polo or carne another. Again, quick and easy on the blackstone. And the huge bags of tortilla chips at costco for sides - and snacks.
 
Flat top has changed our diets in the dunes, Philly cheese Steak sandwiches are now the fav. You can prepare everything at home. We slice up Ribeye Steaks for the meat, and pre slice all the veggies, pick your cheese and you are done. Fried Rice doesn't suck either.
 
I do a pizza bar. Grab small pre-made pizza crusts. Put toppings out and people build their pizza on a peice of foil. Throw it in the traeger for about 20 minutes.

Also do breakfast burrito bar on the Blackstone for breakfast
 
I try and do a lot of leftovers.
I make a big pot of Chili, Girlfriend makes a Pot Roast or just whatever we make for dinner in the week or two leading up to a trip I will just throw a serving into the freezer. Once in camp I reheat it.
I also buy a salad in the bag and will chop some of my favorite salad adders along with a chicken breast. Another great one is buying a large pizza on my way out of town, once it cools down enough, I will have a road slice or two then the next day I can throw a piece or two into the frying pan to reheat. Don't tell the girlfriend I am not supposed to be eating stuff like that anymore.
 
Hobo Dinners are super easy and can be changed up. Add kielbasa, peppers, the neighbors cat, anything really.

Wrap the uncooked veggies and meat in foil. Throw it on the grill and let it cook.

Breakfast: Coffee and Bowl of Cheerios
Lunch: Fruit, yogurt, celery and peanut butter.
Dinner: Frozen Burritos or Healthy Choice Chicken and Broccoli, Beef Broccoli, chicken and rice, etc (Super easy, no mess, 4 minutes on high in the micro)
Campfire: Whiskey/Rocks, splash of water

The older I get the simpler I want things, I used to BBQ for dinner or make scrambled eggs and diced ham, shredded cheese for breakfast, now I just want to be low key.

Chicken Alfredo with tortellini
Canned chili and mac n cheese.
Big pot home made chicken soup with white rice on the side. Love adding rice to my soup.
Brats and tatter tots.
Spaghetti, Ill pre make the sauce at home.
Dinty Moore beef stew for that trip when im the only one there. Childhood memories
Turkey breast, stove top, brown gravy and a baked potato
 
I pre-make “whiteboy” burritos. 3 lbs of hamburger, taco seasoning, and 3 cans of refried beans. Cook it and put it in a large Tupperware. Once out in the desert just put it in a tortilla with cheese and heat it up in the microwave. Add Hot sauce and you’re fed lunch for a few days. Or dinner.

French Dip Sandwiches is an easy one. Make packet Au Jus sauce and drop in the deli sliced roast beef to heat up. Top with some cheese.
