Extreme Performance DR1 New Build

Looking really nice - congrats! Just out of curiosity, what is the advantage of the lower, side dump exhaust vs going out the back? Is that to gain the room to put that silencer on there?

This is how Allan has been setting up the non-turbo DR1 Cars....the exhaust sounds amazing with that LS3 setup, looks really cool and something different from all the past setups out there.
 
Cant wait to hear the exhaust setup. Those aero mufflers have been around for a while, not many people know about them. They sound great.

Car #6 was just delivered; Car #7 is in wiring and final assembly and my car (#8) is ready for aluminum then onto powder coat.
 
Car is at KATG....met Adam for the first time today, really good guy. I like what he's been doing on the previous DR1's for Extreme but I did make a couple changes to the Hood and also adding Roof Scoops to force more air to the Radiator, first car I've owned with a Windshield, so I don't want to stress about cooling issues later on. Allan said none of the cars with windshields have had any cooling issues, but I just want to make sure plus I think it will look good with the roof scoops and so far, this will be the first DRI with these added features. :cool:

2-3 weeks then we should be headed to powder!!

Those are some hell for stout engine mounts. Don't think I've ever seen them done like that. At least, not that I've noticed anyway.

Allan has been doing this a long time; you can see it in his design and very well thought out. Every time I see something on the other cars that I think is an adder it's not...oh that's included! :)
 
Can't wait to see this done. By the looks of it, Allan does all his own tuning in house?
