E Motorcycle Prosecution in OC

I had a kid on one hit the back of my truck on a major street during morning traffic. Luckily he was not going fast and did not fly into my tailgate or get run over by the car behind. His dad came and gave two shits about his kid using it on the street. He did pay for the minor damage to my truck.

Watched some DA on an e-scooter, who was blasting down the sidewalk jumping all the entrance "humps", plow into the side of a car turning into a drive. He clearly didn't see the same turn signal I saw...

Back in the late 80's/ early 90's here in Vista, we had a HUGE BMX scene and a lot of places to support it. Be it in my own neighborhood or across the street at school, we found places to ride that didn't interfere with the public. We actually preferred to stay away from the public to A) not deal with them and B) not get hit by a fucking car, that was bigger than us.

I had a Haro with Powerlite Bars, a DK neck, GT 3 piece cranks, Pitbull brakes some bad ass aluminum wheels with really nice GT dirt tires. My brother bought me the bike and I put lunch money into the upgrades. We spent our entire afternoons on these fucking things... most often ending up at Vista Records and tapes, buying music. I rode to and from Middle School, every day; even in the damn rain storms we had from 1991 - 1993.

We had a lot of "world famous" (in the 90's... lol) jump/riding spots:

-Lincoln Jumps - right across the street from my Lincoln Middle School

-Foothill Jumps - pretty damn far from anything at that age but amazing
-Vista Courthouse track - where Carls Jr is now on Hacienda
-Breeze Hill Jumps

We didn't ride around the streets, hitting mirrors off of parked cars.

We didn't run people off the sidewalk.

And... And... if we did anything wrong ON these bikes, our parents would have our asses.

So yeah... fuck these kids and fuck their parents.
