Yeesh. Mixed on this… But I have seen troops of these kids doing mach Jesus through a strip mall, over curbs, swerving around people, etc. One fuckup, and someone isn't walking again.

Go play in the dirt all you want, but once you’re on the street, it’s a motorcycle. Ride it like one, not a 16” BMX…

She was already warned once and irs incumbent on her to do her due diligence in rhe first place (especially with all of the news coverage this has been getting the last few years). Lock her ass up. He will never be the same again...

Willful Misconduct: Under California Civil Code § 1714.1, parents are liable for up to $25,000 for a minor's willful misconduct.

Lawyers and DA, just doing lawyer things is all this is, typical BS. (guy had a GOT Throne on his desk for Christ's sake...)

Hope that VET recovers, dumbass kids on these crazy-capable e-bikes, e-mx bikes.

Somebody should create or convert old BMX tracks and make a place for them to legally ride in prominent cities like OC has $$$
think about it...it's "Green" and no noise, no emissions, etc. OC Housewives would line up in their Ed Hardy Hats to pay.

In my line of work I’ve seen so many e-bike injuries and fatalities …. Kids are idiots and many parents aren’t much smarter. We all did stupid stuff when we were kids, but I avoided a lot of stupid stuff knowing my dad would kill me , a lot of it has to do with parenting. We should know our kids well enough to know if they will be able to handle having toys like that and be responsible. If they won’t, then don’t allow them to have them. There are way too many parents these days that defend their kids when they screw up…. It’s always someone else’s fault. We are more old school with our kids….. if you screw up, you apologize to those that were wronged, find a way to make it right….. then you’re going to pay when we get home. That’s why we have 4 kids that are respectful to elders, take responsibility for their mistakes, and understand that they have consequences for their actions.

Let me say from first hand experience that kids on Sur Ron’s have gotten out of control. TikTok and Instagram have taught them to run from us when we try to pull them over. They drive crazy reckless, wrong way, running red lights ect. And the average age of these kids is 12-14. I won’t pursue them anymore because I don’t want their death on me when they crash. It’s also crazy how defensive parents are and not believe their kids can do wrong, when we ID the kids and hit the house with a search warrant and seize the bike. I’ve been a motor for the last 10 years (very skilled and have one a few competitions) but the BMW’s just can’t maneuver like these electric dirt bikes.

We had a kid we caught, warned the dad and two weeks later the kid got in a crash and got seriously injured. DA refused to file on dad for child endangerment.

slightly off topic but good parenting....

i was riding a motorcycle when i was 14 around the neighborhood (as usual) i got popped by a cop. he asked me where my parents were, i said my mom is home. somehow, he called her and told her to come where i was. once she got there the cop said he was giving us both tickets. my mom said fine. once he gave her the ticket she threw it at me and said, " here you can pay this one too" and drove off. Lesson learned, after that i had to be more selective of where i rode lol

I like to think of it as Darwin at work. In Norco it's out of control....had a like 12 yr old GIRL give me a dirty look when she was riding down the middle of the street on her Ebike being stupid.... a friggen girl...WTF is wrong with parents today?

All Kids, most teens don't need something that costs thousands of dollars put in their possession to be used unsupervised.

I'll add Smartphones to the same category as e-Bikes, just another form of reckless behaviors.

We have quite a few of these kids here in Grapevine Flying around town. Atleast they're wearing Helmets but..........How can they get away with hauling butt around town? Sidewalks / Streets / Riding Wheelies in large groups too. I agree with @Crusty, lets open them up a place for them to play. Kind of like a skateboard park but........Who's going to police the operation? Guaranteed to be broken bones. Lucky for me, I was introduced to the Motocross Track. We all went in the same direction. Couple things we learned....Respect your Motorcycle / Respect the Ground. They both bite hard. I agree with Y'ALL..........It comes down to parenting! Peace

Yeah, they've been a menace here for more than a minute. Hermosa Beach PD has actually listened to the residents and has been cracking down on the fuckers, but their (and their parent$) sense of entitlement is still off the charts. . .

This one is hard for me , because I see both sides. I got in on the surron craze in the very beginning during covid. I tried to become a dealer for the segway version, but couldn't get the right contacts. I have owned many electric bikes and motorcycles, both recreational and street legal. I have 2 teenage sons. We all rode them. We are fortunate to have a series of fire roads and trails very near our house. I did see this coming and wound up selling them a few years ago when I saw all the kids riding and doing stupid stuff. When I sold ours, my oldest son was devastated because he rode them the most, but I could see him taking chances and making stupid decisions. They are extremely fun toys, and are a blast to ride, but without regulation, they are definitely a menus to society.

a customer of mine had a dipshit ride his into the store and around inside because he wanted to go viral. he was arrested for trespassing after being told to leave and thought it would be ok to take one more ride

I agree many, if not all "Kids" can be an issue.
Kids do that unless they have "Boundaries".
My buddy "Sammy", 62 years old goes all over California and
Nevada riding the devil e-scooters.
Organized "Adult" rides are quite popular on the youtube.

I had a kid on one hit the back of my truck on a major street during morning traffic. Luckily he was not going fast and did not fly into my tailgate or get run over by the car behind. His dad came and gave two shits about his kid using it on the street. He did pay for the minor damage to my truck.

You should get some to patrol with. Fight fire with fire.
