I kept in touch with Don over the last few years after purchasing his car -  and 3 weeks back he told me he has skin cancer and wouldn't be around much longer ...After not getting a reply from him for a few days I found the below:

Don was a Great Guy !!!! A huge BMX man (Ultramax for all you old school bmx guys) who lost his son Jeff  way too early in life. Great people ! Very Sad News

Over the years he would send me CLASSIC old school bmx decals ! He will be missed. I hope he is riding a BMX track with his son Jeff and hitting the dunes together with him.

Prayers are with the family at this difficult time!

Oh man, so sorry to hear this. The old board had a TON of his knowledge dropped in there. RIP brother :cry:

 
Sad to hear only met him a couple times at the dunes In early 2000s.his car was easy to spot and see him standing out if it.

definitely a cool guy to meet and could stop and say hi when you saw him parked and just chat. 

 
Sorry to hear about this.  It’s always a bummer to loose a friend. Rip my fellow duner.

RIP Don.

Met up with Don in Marysvale UT around 2012. He’d Summer up there.  Went on some fun rides.  His goal was to deposit some of his son’s ashes on the highest peaks we could ride to.  Saw him last in 2020, summering up there.

He was my insurance guy for over 10 years.

Bought a few things from him when he was getting out of the sport.

Sad day
