I'm a big fan of recreational Starlink and have used our Gen2 (standard actuated) kit in Glamis and camping all over for a couple of years now. Other than a broken cable (likely from packing up and winding too tightly/kinking) we have never had a problem and often have a dozen to two dozen devices on it in camp any given weekend in G.
We are finally tired of Spectrum and anything else offered in our area. Already in transition of giving up their cable in exchange for streaming services and would also like to shitcan their internet service as well. I work remote a lot and require a stable connection and VPN that gets pissed off at Spectrum 1Gig at least a couple times each day and requires reset...
If you do use Starlink as a dedicated home internet provider are you happy with it? Which Gen are you using (2, 3, 4, 4x)? Are you using additional routers/mesh nodes? Any issues or feedback?
Absolutely not looking to continue the Frontier/Verizon/Spectrum/etc etc cycle... have had them all and their best "gig fiber" services. Looking for real feedback on Starlink used as a dedicated service at home.
