Do you still use them?

GLAMIS WEATHER
Still have the very first record I ever got, Kansas Point of no Return

Still have the last one I bought, The Cult Sonic Temple

Have not owned a turntable since about a week after I bought that last record, the belt broke, and I never replaced it.

I have an old box of cassettes, Player hasn't worked in 20 years probably

Have a couple hundred CD's and still have at least two players, have not listened to one of them in 10 years probably.

I will tell you the same thing I told the Girlfriend, No I am not getting rid of any of it.
I'm making a spot in the garage to play what I have, perfect garage tunes IMHO.

Well except the vinyl albums, those belong in the house, den.

I don't have cable.  I use antenna and have 20+ channels.  I watch the Johnny Carson and Ed Sullivan shows, on re.runs,  and they are better than anything on TV now.  I have 3 movie channels, MeTV, and 4 PBS channels

I watch stuff on YouTube.

I listen to books on CD.

I listen to the radio and don't care to make my own Playlist.

I will tell you the same thing I told the Girlfriend, No I am not getting rid of any of it.
told my exwife the same thing, she wanted to throw away a bunch of CDs.....she is gone the CDs are still here. alot of those are stuff i cant get on streaming services so i never want to get rid of them. i still have the same CD book in my car today that  i used in high school (1999, found my old parking pass in it) but the car is the only place i even have a CD player. CD player broke in the duramax a while ago and just never got a new one.

Have an 8 track in the 69 mustang and some tapes to go with it. Seems to always get comments at car shows. DVD, BlueRay, and CD's in the motorhome.

Brought home a box of my stuff my parents had in the attic, they are spring cleaning. Whole set of vinyl albums I thought were gone forever, some special limited-edition stuff.

Funny to also find high school attendance office truancy letters (parents never saw) and a few hand drawn backyard punk/rock party flyers i made for buddies stuffed in the sleeve covers.

Random Albums now back in hands...

Pink Floyd the Wall
Zubin Mehta and the Los Angeles Philharmonic - Bolero
Pretenders (Debut 1979)
Stevie Wonder - Songs in the key of life
John Williams original soundtrack Star Wars
WAR - Why can't we be friends
Social Distortion - Mommy's little monster (Limited Run Clear Vinyl)
Chuck Mangione - Children of Sanchez
Malo (Debut 1972)
Oingo Boingo - Boingo Alive

Just to name a few off my head. I need a better LP Player now.

Hooked up the component garage stereo yesterday. Have a CD player for it. In Julian a few years back, phone service was out for several days = no Pandora. Still have all my CDs.
Have all our DVDs and Blu-rays. Use the PS5 as a player. Streaming services never have what I wanna watch. And Christmas time, we watch all our favorites from disc.

This reminds me to get my box of about 200 CD's we loaned to a friend. Rock and country.

Everything is being turned into subscription based transaction, designed so you do not own anything. While I like the convenience of streaming services I don't like that part.

Classic old movies on vhs are astoundingly good money makers on eBay. Especially Disney classics.
Still have a combo dvd/vhs player up in the closet somewhere......I think🤔. Have #2 pencil handy in case I need to rewind a cassette too😂

For me, CD's are where it's at. I still order new albums, the last being Social Distortions new one. I've given away the jewel cases and liners and keep the media in a big ol heavy CD book. When covid first shut us down, I bought up a few DVD collections, ditched the cases, and house them in another heavy book. I have a good denon all in one cd player and just bought a really nice sony blueray that will play CDs also. I'm looking forward to buying some nice speakers for the denon as that will be stereo only. I don't have a cable service but watch way to much youtube instead.
